Eminem’s Greatest Hits Album ‘Curtain Call’ Goes Seven Times Platinum

Eminem just returned to the rap scene last week, releasing a near eight-minute track titled “Campaign Speech,”. In dropping the track, Em announced a new album on the way, but it’s a previous release that is earning him high marks, his 2005 greatest hits album Curtain Call going seven times platinum late last week, according to the RIAA.

What elevated Curtain Call above a simple compilation or best of album was the fact that Em included new music on it, “When I’m Gone” peaking at no. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and “Shake That” reaching as high as no. 6. The album as well features a live rendition of “Stan” performed by Em and Elton John at the 2001 Grammy Awards.

Details regarding his new album remain scarce, Em writing “Don’t worry I’m working on an album! Here’s something meanwhile,” on Twitter. His last album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, was released in November of 2013 and has been certified twice platinum. {Source: XXL Magazine}
