Football is so popular with so many types of people that it has been compared to a religion.

With a reported 3.5 billion fans it truly is a worldwide game.

Many people watch it…

Many people listen to it…

A LOT of people shout at it…

But one thing is certain, it is the beating heart of many people world wide.

The Soccer Community

Over the course of the past week, we have seen the soccer community come together and stand by Orlando as they being to recover from the horrific tragedy that occurred at the Pulse Nightclub. There has been an outpouring of support, too much to even keep track of. But here is just a few:

U.S. Soccer

Vancouver Whitecaps

Toronto FC

San Jose Earthquakes

Seattle Reign

Western New York Flash

Boston Breakers

Chicago Red Stars, Portland Thorns

Houston Dash (Seattle Reign again)

Washington Spirit

Copa America

And of course, Orlando City and the Orlando Pride.

Some of the brightest glimmers of hope shine through during the darkest times. This post doesn’t even begin to show the outpouring of support. There are tons of videos, countless Tweets and tributes. Soccer is a sport to unite us all. It gives us some of the best moments and it carries us through some of our darkest. This week in the U.S., though players may have been wearing a different crest on their jersey, they were all playing united for Orlando.
