Ok, this photo of Large Milkweed Bug nymphs (Oncopeltus fasciatus) on a milkweed pod in my yard is creeping Mr. BotD out, but I think it’s cool. I like to see all the different sizes (instars) clustered together. What say all of you?
We had a TON of large milkweed bugs (Oncopeltus fasciatus) all over our milkweed this fall, and I was always checking for other
red-and-black milkweed-eating beasties, but never saw any. So I found it
funny that I finally spotted this small milkweed bug (Lygaeus kalmii) in mid-October, but on goldenrod, not on milkweed.
