I recently got a blue lotus flower tattoo and have gotten some criticism for my tattoo simply because it is blue. Is there anything bad about a blue lotus flower or should I simply ignore the people criticizing me?

Not that I’m aware of. Blue in Buddhism symbolizes wisdom and understanding. So I wouldn’t worry about what people have to say. Maybe they’re just jealous or something :p

Smile and be well!

the lotus represents wisdom, kindness and a pure heart and soul. They grow through murky, dirty water to bloom into a beautiful flower on the surface. It’s purity and beauty is untouched by the mud from which it grows. It symbolises rising above - remaining morally good and pure despite the bad that surrounds us, not allowing any negativity in our environment to have an impact on who we truly are.

Carry on gracefully and with resilience and remain true to yourself in all situations
