Fate. As a child, that word was often my only companion. It whispered to me from dark corners during lonely nights. It was the song of the birds in spring and the call of the wind through bare branches on a cold winter afternoon. Fate. Both my anguish and my solace. My escort and my cage.

February BPC // Day 7 - Female Author(s) //
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
Zodiac by Romina Russell
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

I’ve only read 3 of these books (The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender, Snow Like Ashes, and The Bone Season) but all of them got 5 stars from me. I’ve heard amazing things about Zodiac and I plan on reading it soon, so I figured I would include it in this picture!
