Laurens: Would you stop fidgeting? What are you so worried about?

Alexander: Sorry. I’m going to ask out my crush today.

Laurens: Well, good luck.

Alexander: Thanks…can I ask you something?

Laurens: Sure, what is it?

Alexander: My dear Laurens, will you want to go out with me?

Standing before the mirror in the bathroom, Lauren lifted her shirt and traced her fingers over the golden image now ingrained on her flesh. It caused her to shake a little, trembled all over with how swiftly everything had changed. She’d gone from a farce of a relationship with the God of Mischief, to a deeply intense one with Loki in a heartbeat of time.

It was everything she’d thought she’d never have. She wasn’t quite sure what to do about it now that it had happened.

He was an intense individual. To suddenly become the focus of his piercing gaze was both thrilling and a bit terrifying.

Dropping her shirt, Lauren clenched her fingers into fists, setting them on the grey granite countertop.

He did things to her on a whole new level.

Ugh dude im so broke right now :/

I feel ya :( School has me so poor I’ve cried.

But I’ve started using Harris Polls and by taking their surveys and stuff I’ve been getting an extra $20-50 a week, which is awesome because I can now pay my phone bill (it wasn’t late or anything I swear). It’s a bit tedious, but I’m always online anyway so I just put on Spotify and take a few surveys a day and BAM money.

I used to use Inbox Dollars more because I would get paid for a bunch of little things and not just surveys. They’ll pay you a few cents for just using their search engine or for a paid email, which is pretty cool.

Could you write something where it's like student council elections? Maybe Jefferson versus Alex? Also sorry for the flood of prompts that I'm sending in....

Hey, kiddos! We’ve got a birthday to celebrate today! Everyone go wish @likeyourrunningoutoftime a happy 16th (!!!) birthday AHHHHH!!! I could’ve written another angsty lil fic (bc she sent me a GREAT angst one), but I’ve decided to take mercy on you all and write this awesome prompt she sent me a while ago, instead. Enjoy! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! <333 (Want me to write you a lil fic, too? Choose a prompt from the old list or new one and just let me know which list you used!)

“Calm down, Alexander, it’s just a slightly different color,” Laurens said with a sigh, knowing very well that Alexander would never calm down, especially when whatever he was freaking out about had to do with his diametrically opposed foe–– Thomas Jefferson.

“I cannot ‘calm down,’ John,” Alex hissed. “Sky blue is very different from navy blue! Sky blue is like ‘oh, he’s a fun boy!’ and navy blue is like ‘He’s a take-charge, important, educated kind of man.”

“I didn’t know the background color of a poster could decide whether you’re a man or boy,” Laurens deadpanned.

“Alexander is right, mon ami,” Lafayette said, coming up behind the other two boys, Hercules on his arm. He looked at the posters Laurens was holding and tsked. “Non, this will not do! Alexander, email me the file and I will fix this, mon ami. Hercules and I have a free period right now.”

“Yeah, so do we,” Laurens said, giving Laf a confused look. They always hung out during their Friday morning free period.

“Oui, I did not forget, my dear Laurens.” He patted the smaller boy on the head, causing Laurens to glare at him. “But Alexander needs to go over his debate arguments one last time, and he needs a partner to do that with.” He waggled an eyebrow at John, eliciting a blush from the freckled boy.

“Done,” Alexander said, holding up his phone. “I sent the email. Now come on, Laurens, let’s go prepare.” He grabbed Laurens to drag him off to the library.

“See ya later!” Hercules shouted down the hall as the other two boys hurried off.

“You’re ready.” Laurens’ was brimming with confidence as he gripped his boyfriend by the shoulders and stared into his eyes. They were backstage, waiting for the debate to begin. The murmur of all of their schoolmates waiting in the auditorium was normally very audible, but this time it as nearly drowned out by Jefferson’s cocky southern drawl.

“Yeah, I knoooow, Madison. I got this.” Even though Laurens wasn’t looking at Jefferson he could still hear the smirk that must have been on his face. “I’m gonna pummel that orphan immigrant into the ground,” he snickered. “He’ll probably get so flustered debating the likes of me that he’ll forget how to speak English up there.”

Alex tensed under Laurens’ hands. Laurens shook him by the shoulders. “Save it all for the stage,” he advised. “Take it out on him through your words.”

Alexander gritted his teeth and gave Laurens a small nod. Laurens quickly kissed him on the lips and then turned to go find a seat in the audience.

“You aren’t gonna wish me luck, Laurens?” Jefferson called out as John walked past him.

“Luck won’t be enough to help you against Alexander, so I’m saving my breath.”

“You better have some tissues ready for when he loses, Laurens,” Jefferson shouted as Laurens disappeared out the backstage door.

He quickly found Hercules and Lafayette sitting in the front row, the seat between them empty. Lafayette beamed at Laurens as the smaller boy took his seat.

“I feel like I’m your child or something,” Laurens muttered.

“You are, mon cher!” Lafayatte laughed.

Hercules ruffled Laurens’ hair. “Yeah, you’re our gay son.”

Laurens crossed his arms and sighed. There was no stopping them when they got all paternal. He’d just ride it out.

Thankfully for him, the principal took the stage and introduced the two candidates running for student council president. Jefferson and Alexander then walked out under the bright lights, both looking extremely confident, a smirk on Jefferson’s face and a serious look on Alex’s.

The debate started off well, both boys easily answering every question the moderator asked them. Laurens was about ready to breathe a sigh of relief when the moderator cleared her throat.

“We have one final question for the candidates,” she said, looking down at her cards. After reading one over for a moment, she glanced up at the two boys. “What would you like the legacy of your time in office to be?”

Laurens had to stop himself from groaning. Alexander was obsessed with the idea of a legacy, constantly worrying he wouldn’t leave one behind when all was said and done.

Jefferson was quick to offer up an answer. “I hope that people will remember me for my leadership skills, and for my hair.” He tapped his bouncy curls. The audience, especially the girls, all laughed. “And I hope they’d remember me as someone who made this school a better place,” he said with a grin.

The audience clapped, a few people hollered, and then it was Alexander’s turn.

“A legacy is something you never get to see, but something the people who come after you have to live with every day,” he began. “That’s why I hope to leave behind a more tolerant community, a place where all students feel safe, accepted, and heard.”

He scanned the audience for a moment, his eyes finally landing on Laurens. The slightest smile crossed his lips. “I want to leave behind a school where any student, even an orphan immigrant like myself,” he said, placing a hand on his chest. There were a few gasps from the audience. Jefferson usually taunted Alexander with that phrase, but even Laurens had never heard the boy use it to describe himself.

He waited for the audience to quiet down before continuing. “Can receive a quality education, equal to those among us who are most privileged. Thank you.”

Alexander was met by rapturous applause. Laurens, Lafayette, and Hercules were on their feet hooting and cheering.

It was no surprise to Laurens when Alexander was announced the winner of the election at the end of the day.

More onto the drama with Lauren

I did make a post about this earlier saying :

If you need to catch up on it.

ANYWAYS.. So yeah. Lauren left the show because Rebecca won’t let her make lapi//dot become canon. More onto that subject..

Like I said in my previous post, Lauren can’t throw a fit just because a good choice for the show that she disagreed with was made. Rebecca is the creator of the show. Like, I get that Lauren ships lapi//dot, I really do.

But as a writer, an artist, and a grown-up, Lauren needs to realize that they can’t always make what they want to happen, happen. Rebecca is the creator of the show, and Rebecca doesn’t want lapi//dot canon. Lauren should respect her wishes.

If I were in Lauren’s shoes I would be okay and respect Rebecca’s wishes, even though I don’t agree with what Rebecca wanted. Lauren can’t expect Rebecca to always let their ideas or fanfics or whatever the fuck it is become canon. It’s just reality.

And what made really pissed was that they called Rebecca narcissistic. Like what the actual fuck? There are people who have narcissistic personality disorder. Like I fucking getting, that they were pissed and shipped Lapi//dot. But you don’t use a disorder as a word to insult someone.

And to those who don’t think Lauren actually left. There are dates on those posts, that sounds exactly like something she would post, the door, the Tumblr description. Think about that.

And back to the twitter drama. I’ve said this many times before. Lauren could’ve handled this much more maturely. She could’ve blocked or reported whoever was harassing them. But instead, they deleted their twitter. Then shipping wars broke out, thanks to them.

And they ship-baited Lapi//dot too.

Anyways, I wish Lauren good luck with their future.
