• Robert: How you doing?
  • Liv: Have you told the police what I did with your car?
  • Robert: Well, what did you say to social services?
  • Liv: I took brandy and pills cos I wanted to get off my head.
  • Robert: But nothing about me?
  • Liv: Kept your name out of it. You're gonna do the same with the car?
  • Robert: I was never going to tell them.
  • Liv: We've got nothing else to say to each other, then.
  • Robert: I hope one day we might be able to... put all this behind us and go back to being friends, all of us.
  • Liv: In your dreams!
  • Robert: I did say "one day".
  • Liv: Don't you get it? He wants you out of our lives.
  • Robert: Well, maybe when things have calmed down a bit -
  • Liv: Wake up, Robert! He's at home, hanging out with a hot doctor. I mean, Alex is a hero. He's the doctor who saved me. Not the sleezeball who put me in hospital. You've been replaced. I'm just surprised it took so long.
  • Robert: Look, I get that you're angry -
  • Liv: I'm not angry, actually. Couldn't be happier. Alex is a top bloke, and Aaron's really into him. I'm even stopping the night at Gabby's, just in case. Just stay away from him. From both of us. (Robert leaves)
  • Laurel: You know Gabby's not back for a few days, sweetheart?
  • Liv: Yeah, yeah, I know.
  • Laurel: Oh, okay.

red deer laurel leaves on head by Peter Warren

greek mythology:

Daphne (/ˈdæfniː/; Greek: Δάφνη, meaning “laurel”) is a minor figure in Greek mythology known as a naiad—a type of female nymph associated with fountains, wells, springs, streams, brooks and other bodies of freshwater. There are several versions of the myth, but the general narrative is that because of her beauty, Daphne attracted the attention and ardor of the god Apollo. Apollo pursued her and just before being overtaken, Daphne pleaded to her father, the rivergod Ladon for help. So Ladon then transformed Daphne into a laurel tree.

Finished the Laurel literally 5 minutes before having to leave for Wekfest. Hadn’t even gotten to drive the car yet with the new swap and suspension setup, but it ran absolutely perfect. Had a great time at the show and I can’t thank everyone enough for all the help and kindness they’ve shown me in the last 2 and a half weeks that it took to build this. Never thought I could possibly achieve a goal this large in such little time. Overwhelmed by the crowds the car drew and how many people came up to tell me personally that it was their favorite car there. Seems my “old school” touch on the car was recognized too.
