We have a lot of different directors on our show and we get a lot of recurring directors as well. Sometimes you get directors that aren’t as familiar with our characters as we are. Sometimes we’re a little misdirected and we have to guide our directors and often directors come in with really great new ideas and see things in our characters that we hadn’t seen yet. That’s inspiring. I’m always open to any kind of direction as long as I’m not doing anything completely ridiculous or anything that’s not true to my character. I’m constantly learning something new and when we get great directors - and we’ve had so many - they’ve enlightened me in ways I didn’t expect so… it’s an ongoing process but the characters - all the characters - just keep evolving and the directors do have a hand in that.
ohhhhhh my goodness I can’t stop doodling on my new tablet and I really should be focusing on my actual art homework but for some reason these little practice doodles make me so much happier and way more at easy so I keep drawing them… <3 these are what I sketched tonight when I should have been illustrating pages of my children’s book… *sigh*
Am I the only one kind of bummed out that only the Evil Queen seems to have songs in the musical episode? I mean, I’m sure Lana will rock them, but I already know what she was feeling back then. I want to know what’s in Regina’s heart right now.
Also, I feel like Regina’s singing voice would actually be closer to Lana’s, if that makes sense. With the EQ she can kind of hide behind that big personality… Which I’m guessing is the point, considering how apprehensive she was.
Here’s to hoping for at least a few Regina lines.
