UP TRIP by Jess

Okay, I’ll share how he asked for my hand ~

So we went to Minors Castle, we swam to the cliffs and jumped off into Lake Superior. It was amazing! He called me out of the water and asked me to stand with him lol So while I’m wondering why I’m out of the water and standing for no reason he started talking..
He kept repeating himself, “I’ll love you forever…” and “…I love you so much” pretty much being odd, then I finally asked why he was repeating himself –he cuts me off and says, “This is going to hurt…this is going to hurt..” I was so confused lol I started laughing asking what is going to hurt. then, he kneels and said, “Jessica, will you marry me?” I was speechless, all I could do is cover my mouth in shock, I nodded and said yes and he hugged me tightly.
My sisters & my brother were out on the lake seeing him get on his knees and asking they tried to swim back as fast as they could! lol we don’t have the official engagement ring just yet. So yup, that is how he asked. kiki emoticon
I did get tears but they were all happy tears

This Saturday, the breathtaking ice caves at Apostle Islands National Lakeshore in Wisconsin will open for the first time this season. The ice caves are an always changing phenomenon – the  formations change from chamber to chamber and from day to day. The result is a fairyland of needlelike icicles. Visiting the ice caves requires at least a 2 mile hike across Lake Superior, and present conditions might make it a challenging trek. For up-to-date info on the ice caves, visit ww.nps.gov/apis or call the Ice Line at (715) 779-3397 - extension 3. National Park Service photo.
