London based Army Chefs, from the Royal Logistic Corps, took part in an Adventure Training expedition to Low Gillerthwaite Field Centre in the Lake District National Park.

The idea of the AT is to get them out of their comfort zone of their kitchen and into the wilderness. During their week away they did mountain biking, canoeing and hill walking. They also had an opportunity to work on their navigational skills, learn photography and do some star gazing.

Sergeant Adrian West, from Poole, said: “Normally when my Battalion deploy on AT I’m stuck in the kitchen cooking, so it has been great to get the opportunity to take part in the activities”.
