Marines and sailors with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st MEU  prepare to board a CH-53E Super Stallion with HMM-262 (Reinforced) to conduct a Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel mission during Marine Expeditionary Unit Exercise 2009. MEUEX simulates operations in a field environment, focusing on mission planning, communications and the essential maritime operations the MEU is responsible for while deployed throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

  • 24th MEU conducts Exercise Eagle Resolve 2015 with Gulf Cooperation Council nations
  • A U.S. Marine Amphibious Assault Vehicle from Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, moves to its objective during Exercise Eagle Resolve 2015 at Failaka Island, Kuwait, March 24, 2015. Eagle Resolve is the premiere Arabian Peninsula/gulf region exercise among the United States, Gulf Cooperation Council nations, and international partners. It serves to address regional challenges associated with asymmetric/unconventional warfare in a multi-national environment.
