I just want Foggy finding Bucky sleeping in an alleyway dumpster one night and bringing him home for a hot meal and shower. And then Foggy and Karen just kind of adopt him and so have two precious dumpster babies to look after.

And they’re all a loving avocado family and nobody gets hurt ever again.

man sometimes i forget that karen sees all the bullshit i post on here so shoutout to u karen i love u bro

the other day i told the story of how u and kailee and jazzpancakes hated urselves so much that u went on Aftershock in Silverwood and how i looked up and could see ur face of Pure Regret from 200 fuckin feet below u

ur a wild child and this is why i love u

Dear Karen,
If you’re reading this, it means I actually worked up the courage to mail it, so good for me.
You don’t know me very well, but if you get me started I have a tendency to go on and on about how hard the writing is for me. But this, this is the hardest thing I ever had to write.
There is no easy way to say this so I’ll just say it, I met someone. It was an accident, I wasn’t looking for it, I wasn’t on the make it was a perfect storm, she said one thing, I said another and the next thing I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life in the middle of that conversation. Now there’s this feeling in my gut that she might be the one. She’s completely nuts in a way that makes me smile, highly neurotic, a great deal of maintenance required. She is you Karen.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that I don’t know how to be with you right now, and that scares the shit out of me. Because if I am not with you right now I have this feeling we’ll get lost out there. It’s a big bad world full or twist and turns and people have a way of blinking and missing the moment. The moment that could of changed everything.
I don’t know what’s going on with us and I can’t tell you why you should waste a leap of faith on the likes of me. But damn you smell good, like home and you make excellent coffee that’s got to count for something, right? Call me!
—  Unfaithfully yours,
Hank Moody

Emma and Lucas are living the perfect love story when Lucas gets diagnosed with cancer. Things are not looking good for him and just when it seems there is no more hope for Lucas, an alien spaceship enters the Earth’s atmosphere and is shot down. One of the aliens on board survives and takes over Lucas’ body, curing him of his cancer. It is now up to Emma to get this alien out of Lucas’ body and back to his home planet so she can finally live her happily ever after with the love of her life.

The main reason I wanted to read this book was because it involved aliens (yay for YA Sci-fi!). It turned out to be a pretty decent story and an incredibly fast read.

I loved the premise of the story. The love of your life is dying, but makes an unexpected miraculous recovery because his body is taken over by an alien. Imagine that! To make things even more exciting, the alien is nothing like the boy you used to love, but he turns out to be a pretty decent guy anyway (Whaaat?!). So yeah, I was pretty much hooked from the start.

Character wise, I think Scout was great and I love the way he saw the world. His kindness and life lessons were very admirable. The main character Emma bugged me a bit at times. She was a bit too dependent on Lucas for my liking (but I kind of get annoyed pretty quickly when all the focus is on a relationship/a boy). I’ve never been a big fan of soppy love stories and for a while I was afraid this was going to be one. Luckily for me, that wasn’t the case. It turned out to be a cute story about an unexpected friendship and realizing that the way you see the world might not be the best one.

Because FROM A DISTANT STAR involves aliens, I have to talk about them as well. They are not the cliché green monsters from another planet. I think they were really well written and their alien planet was described beautifully. Points for the aliens for sure!

All in all it was a very fun read. The story had a good pace with all kinds of different stuff happening. It was just long enough so the plot could really be worked out quite well and there were all kinds of cute and funny little things like the car-dancing and the e-mails from Emma to Lucas. Recommended for people who love their YA with a dash of Sci-fi.

I received this book for free through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Hemlock Grove goes as far as having explicit rape scenes and incest, so :////

yeah I’ve only watched one episode now but it seems really nice anyway!

Daredevil was really fun!! not the most amazing show ever but I liked it a lot. uwu Matt I already knew and liked from the comics so it was great to see it in a different medium. and I’m really looking forward to the second season, now that we’re past all origin story stuff, Foggy knows about him and he has a costume and everything. 8)

plus I love all the relationships. Matt and Foggy are so genuine in their friendship without all that awkward No Emotions thing between men, and Karen inserted herself so seamlessly into what was just a duo for so long, it’s beautiful?? they just accept her as a friend immediately.
and Claire is everything. I only wish her happiness and wonderful things and that she doesn’t get killed off by the narrative at some point.

oh and the whole thing were Fisk and his right hand man (what was his name) were never excused in any way but still shown as people. that was also very nice.
