-so many penis jokes it got kinda stupid. Some of them were really funny, but it got old real quick (It was hilarious when Bethany got excited though b/c so many young children were confused and I heard multiple “What does that mean Mommy/Daddy?)
-I didn’t like the introduction of Bethany, but it was really nice to see her grow
-Not extremely preachy, and it didn’t have many moments with it.
-Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Karen Gillian (probs the best out of all 3) all adopted the personas of their teen counterparts that it was amazing and beautifully acted. To me if felt like most of the time Kevin Hart was playing Kevin Hart, but he also had his moments of seeming more like Fridge.
-I don’t think a lot of people realized that it’s PG-13, which means their was cussing and heavy handed sexual innuendos. Like I mentioned earlier- there were like kindergartners/1st graders in the movie theatre that asked awkward quiestions. So beware about taking young kids.
-Didn’t put the teen girl with the older man at the end
-Not many easter eggs, but they were good, call back to the Bats, Alan and… maybe more? I’m not sure?
-Bethany and Martha bonded and were supporting each other during the whole thing, I wanted to cry. PASSES THE BECHDEL TEST
-Kinda talked about Slut-Shaming and girl-on-girl hate for the stupid reasons
-Martha went after the public education for a second, it was great.
-I WISHED WE GOT TO SEE- how the adventure affected the students in the long run. What they did with their lives as adults. I wanted to see Fridge let go of football team that was the center of his life and become a bit of a geek (maybe taking an interest in Zoology or being an Archeologist), I wanted to see Martha being a confident business/CEO type who’s badass. I wanted to see Spencer blossom into an independent and confident human-just living his life to the fullest- and I wanted Bethany to become someone who actively using social media to help others with Body/Confidence Issues.
Interviewer: Of all the Avengers, who would you kiss, marry, and kill?
Karen Gillian: Aaahhh! Okay, this is my new favourite question! I’m gonna kiss…. Nebula is gonna kiss… Nebula’s gonna kiss Loki.
Interviewer: Oooh! Why?
Karen Gillian: Because they’re gonna have this connection, because they are both the overlooked sibling. And they’re gonna really connect with each other and then they’re just gonna have a little smooch.
