Season 1 Bashir: This is BRILLIANT, gonna practice RUGGED FRONTIER MEDICINE and have ADVENTURES and do THRILLING HEROICS and PULL MORE TAIL THAN JAMES T. KIRK

Season 4 Bashir: Have been officially dumped by everything in a skirt on the station. Adventures are scary. Major Kira is scary. Captain Sisko’s shiny bald head is scary. Also am fairly certain I want to fuck a lizard.

First Do No Harm

julian bashir outfits ranked based on how gay they are

classic twink. the outfit itself is a little too futuristic and uniform to fit to be tacky gay, but the form-fitting fabric shows off a little gay flare 4/10

similar to above, but somehow feels straighter? bulkier fabric and less color. ultimately a very straight look 2/10

i know i said i didnt think this outfit is gay but… i think the popped collar adds another dimension. i dimension that makes me think for .3 seconds, i am a lesbian, right? i based on the look hes giving garak too im going to up this to a 6/10

TACKY FASHION GAY ICON… i mean seriously? imagine a straight man wearing That? he couldnt, hed be arrested by the gay police…. what an icon! that collar! those collars? 9/10 hes gay boys!

heres a little more twink!!! slicked back hair gives the impression of a hipster old fashioned professor with an artsy boyfriend, plus the original tos uniforms are definitely, definitely, a gay look, albeit toned down 7/10

really? tuxedoes ARE GAY!!!! theyre gay!!!! if you wear a tuxedo you are gay!!! adding on the context of this particular outfit which i personally think of as that garashir ds9 episode i think we can all agree 10/10

this is high comfort lesbian fashion. i definitely have this outfit in 10 variations in my closet right now at this moment 8/10

feels a little too disney prince to be truly gay. something about the fake jacket feels a bit heterosexual for me. starfleet is 100% homophobic for having the opportunity to go full twink on a dress uniform and to give me this colorless straight thing 2/10

almost twunk but not quite, ends up feeling a bit awkward. tacked onto the setting of drinks with the boys after 24th century call of duty it doesn’t reach its gay potential. still, definitely has a spark with the color and the weird white tie thing, please expand upon julian bashir in old military uniforms, id like more 4/10

while baseball IS STRAIGHT and i stand by that, this is very Not Straight. the red polo tucked into the white pants? garak 100% picked this out for him and julians like yeah my boyfriend helped me with this :) its the only reason it looks coherent at all. thank you garak 7/10

OK!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE TACKIEST GAY LOOK IVE EVER SEEN…. THIS IS A GAY LOOK!!!!!!!! literally no straight man would EVER. THE POSE!!! hes lounging like yes, i am a twink! the fucking paisley pants! PLEASE! this man is such a twink. everything about this. the purple tank top with a blue stripe right over the nipples. yeah. this. this is gay. 11/10

DO I EVEN HAVE TO SAY IT? TWINK! IMAGINE THINKING THIS IS WHAT YOU WEAR TO PLAY SPORTS? GAY POWER MOVE OF THE 24TH CENTURY! NOTHING WILL EVER BEAT THIS TURQUOISE MONSTROSITY 1000/10

“Garak, I gave you this to read, not…annotate!”

“I improved it.”

“Claudius is not the protagonist of the play.”

“Well, Hamlet certainly isn’t.”

“He’s the quintessential tragic hero!”

“There’s nothing heroic about terminal indecisiveness, Doctor. His death wasn’t a tragedy, it was a mercy killing.”

Mostly an excuse for colour experimention, but also because, having seen other artists’ renditions of tailed Cardassians, I am infatuated with the idea of Garak with a tail.

also I was looking at images of Garak’s tailoring tools from the show and they are such utterly ridiculous pieces of plastic  (“okay so just sort of run it over the fabric like you’re vacuuming it” “what is it?” “it’s a…uh…sonic seam ripper. Yeah. It rips seams. Sonically.”)

Star Trek: Deep Space 9 | Past Prologue | Garak’s Introduction [4\4]

Bashir is really good-looking, so as a character choice I thought, “What the hell? Why not go for it?” There is a close-up of Garak where it looks like he could eat him alive. And I’m sure that’s why I got the job. - Andrew J. Robinson (x)
