COLTS S JOE LEFEGED FACING MULTIPLE GUN-RELATED CHARGES AFTER ARREST – Well, I guess just because you play in the NFL doesn’t mean you have cable, or the internet, or talk to anyone else who plays in the NFL.

After one of the worst weeks for the NFL marketing department, that included two players being cut by their teams – one for murder and the other for attempted murder – you would think every player in the league would be on their best behavior. But nope, there is still at least one (insert your own words here) who still doesn’t get it.

On Saturday morning Indianapolis Colts safety Joe Lefeged was arrested in Washington, DC, for multiple gun-related charges, the Indianapolis Star reports.

According to the Star, Lefeged, 25, was in a vehicle with another man when police attempted to stop the vehicle. After an unspecified chase the two were arrested.

During a search of the vehicle by officers, a handgun was found.

The arrest occurred in northeast Washington on the 4200 block of Blaine Street Northeast at 12:05 a.m. today.

Lefeged and Timothy Wilson, 23, will be arraigned Saturday on charges that include carrying a firearm without license, unregistered firearm, unregistered ammunition and presence of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Lefeged grew up in nearby Germantown, Maryland, and played collegiately at Rutgers. He was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2011, and started four games last season. (Photo: USA Today Sports)
