Jeff Carter

Disney hasn’t made a sports movie about hockey recently, but they should, and they should start with the Mike Richards and Jeff Carter story, which reads like a hockey-themed Nicholas Sparks novel. Two players meet as teenagers, become best friends, play for the same NHL team, sign long-term deals so they’ll never have to play without each other, get brutally traded to different cities, get reunited in equally dramatic fashion, and finally win a Stanley Cup together. That’s the hockey version of living happily ever after.
