How Kaneki was able to defeat Yamori

I’ve read the latest Tokyo Ghoul:Re chapter (Chapter 37) and I got this sudden thought. I’m not good at organizing my thoughts so I’ll try to explain it the best I can.

I remember in the Youtube comments about people saying things like “How did Kaneki suddenly got so better at fighting after he got white hair and broke out of his chains?” and other people will reply saying “Because it’s anime logic”. Well I don’t agree because I think I found the answer in TG:Re chapter 37.

Before Kaneki was captured by Aogiri and was tortured, he was a nice person, I mean, too nice. It wasn’t like him to hurt other people but he did wanted to get stronger to help protect people so he was trained by Touka and Yomo and read some books about self-defense. However, I don’t think that’s enough for him to face and defeat an S-Ranked ghoul like Yamori, especially in Yamori’s kakuja form.

What I believe is really the cause is what I read in TG:Re

Before Kaneki fought Yamori, he was tortured and injured so many times, over and over again by him. Because of that, his RC cells pathways are spread throughout his body due to his regeneration ability, making him stronger. The other times he was injured before the torture, such as encountering Tsukiyama, and his fight with Amon adds on to that too. Kaneki got hurt so many times dat poor cinnamon roll… T^T

Anyways, back to what I was saying, Urie learned that “The more you get hurt, the stronger you become”. Getting injured once and regenerate will have little effect, but getting injured COUNTLESS times such as Kaneki getting tortured and getting rushed regeneration from it, would immediately increase Kaneki’s physical abilities.

Kaneki is a half ghoul and was hurt and regenerated so many fukkin times and plus with all that training of self-defense, no wonder why he was able to defeat Yamori. So It wasn’t “anime logic”. It was Kaneki’s RC cells.

Ghouls can be dangerous, but Half Ghouls are even more dangerous.

Ya know, this is one of the reasons why I love Tokyo Ghoul. It sticks to the logic.
