yoikami asked:

I'm so confused sometimes. Like I use Kamui, Marx, Zero, Joker... and sometimes I end up saying either Silas nor Cyrus and then I think "wait which one was the original name...?". I'm gonna save for a japanese 3ds and learn harder .-. By the way, did you decide to learn japanese ever since Fire emblem Awakening or it's something else? Did you play Awakening with a good japanese level or...?

I played Awakening with a semi-decent level.

I played Tales of Vesperia PS3 (a long time ago) with mediocre Japanese level.

I started learning Japanese because I liked subbed anime a long time ago and signed up for Japanese classes.

1 year in, I decided “this shit isn’t worth it”, but “I want to learn a language” and abandoned the “I’m learning Japanese for anime and manga” reason.

I just wanted to learn it for the sake of learning another language.

‘A New Beginning’ Is Being Re-released In Japan!

A few weeks ago it was announced that Story of Seasons and Rune Factory 4 are going to be re-released in Japan this April. Well, guess what? A New Beginning is also getting re-released–though not quite in the same way.

A few days ago, Nintendo revealed the beginning of a “Happy Price Selection” program in which select 3DS titles will be re-released at a low price: 2916 yen. (This is about $25 US.) They will be re-leased at this price in both physical and digital form on the 17th of March

One of the first games to be given this treatment will be A New Beginning! This applies to the Japanese version only, of course, but if you have a Japanese 3DS and haven’t picked up this game yet, this would be a good chance~!

Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, Yellow - Virtual Console Preload

For those of you with the Japanese 3DS, the games Pokémon Red, Pokémon Green, Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Pikachu have been placed up on the Nintendo 3DS eShop to preload. These games require 80 blocks on your Nintendo 3DS as well as giving a special serial code in order to get the Mythical Pokémon, Mew, in your Japanese XYORAS games. The code will run from February 27th 2016 to March 31st 2017. Thanks to NintenDaan for the headsup

Valentine’s Day badges

It’s Valentine’s week in the Japanese Nintendo Badge Arcade this week with one panel of WarioWare badges (including loved up Ashley), one panel of Valentine’s chocolates, four more panels of Pokémon badges, one panel of GBA badges (original model, SP, Micro and four carts) and one panel of Wii badges (console and eight accessories). Mario Chocolate badges and Animal Crossing Valentine badges also mark a return. There’s two free plays as always.

Yes yes yes!!!!! I really wanted to have the monsoon vivillon pattern on my new Japanese game, but I couldn’t find any definitive breakdown of the japanese provinces and what pattern they get, so I looked at a geographical map and took a somewhat educated guess and I struck gold! Turns out Okinawa is in fact a monsoon pattern location. I can’t wait to breed for a shiny one:)
