Star Child is a New Age term that has come up only in the past few years in regard to incarnations into human form by entities from other worlds. The term ‘Starseed’ relates to here.

Lightworkers are people at the leading edge of transforming human consciousness. They themselves are ‘waking up’, experiencing expanded consciousness & a reconnection to the infinite intelligence accessible to all via our inner knowing.

Indigo children are highly sensitive beings with a clear sense of self-definition and a strong feeling that they need to make a significant difference in the world.

Crystal children are children who have a crystal-colored aura, a theoretical field of radiation around the body that some claim to be able to see. Along with indigo children — those with indigo auras — they are claimed to be more spiritually evolved at birth than others.

Befriend Your Spirit Guide: 3 Simple Steps

If you wish to embody your truth and your greatness; if you wish to enjoy optimal quality of life and radiant well-being, you must take the all-important step of honing your intuition and honoring your inner Knowing. One thing we can expect when our sixth sense becomes more heightened, is increased awareness of the benevolent, white-light-infused spirit beings that are around us all the time. These beings are devoted to helping, guiding, supporting, nudging, and prodding us along our path in life.

We all have more than a few specific Spirit Guides assisting us on our journey through life, and one main, full-time Spirit Guide. We usually call this our “Guardian Angel,” though it’s actually a Spirit Guide and the two are not the same thing. “Angels” are a different phyla from “spirits.” Spirits have the capacity to incarnate into human form, and angels do not, plus angels are at a much higher energetic frequency than spirits.

Our main Spirit Guide is with us 24/7, from birth until death. It’s empowering and comes as a relief to learn that our life’s unfoldings are not riding entirely on our own shoulders. It’s a revelation to learn we are never alone! Cultivating a relationship with your Spirit Guide can dramatically improve your quality of life, plus provide a powerful source for you to ask for and receive guidance, help, clarity, and insight on your path. Connecting to your Spirit Guide will also dramatically enhance your spiritual journey in general.

Here are three steps for contacting your Spirit Guide:

1. Connect to your own spirit and soul’s essence so that you can hear the whispers of your Spirit Guide.

When you connect to your soul’s essence, you raise your vibration, and with a raised vibration it will be much easier for your Spirit Guide to make conscious contact with you. Our Spirit Guides are always communicating with us. It’s just that our lives (and minds) are so loud, busy, stressful, and chaotic that we don’t generally hear them. Our Spirit Guide’s presence is soft and subtle so as not to override our free will. Generally, we have to consciously get quiet, and actively choose to listen to these spirit beings if we are to be able to hear them.

2. Write a letter.

Actively consult with your Spirit Guide in epistolary form (fancy wording for letter form). Ask for help, clarity, solutions, insight, and guidance. Also, be sure to express gratitude for all they do for you! You will receive answers, though these will most often come in unexpected, understated, and nuanced ways.

Keep a look out for signs, symbols, synchronicity, and “coincidences.” These contain messages for you. (It’s true that “there is no such thing as a coincidence” inasmuch as coinciding events are always divinely orchestrated and as such always carry meaning and significance of some kind.)

You may also receive crystal clear messages from lines of songs you hear, books you read, conversations with people, discussions overheard, or even from television shows, messages that seem overlaid with heightened meaning and uncannily answer the very question you had.

All of these occurrences can powerfully double as very real communication from your Spirit Guide. If you meditate with regularity, you make it a thousand times easier for your Spirit Guide to speak to you in a tangible way.

3. Ask for his or her name.

Demonstrate your faith, trust, and belief in the existence of your Spirit Guide by asking, in the form of a prayer, for his or her name. (Yes, they are male or female.)

My main Spirit Guide’s name is Penelope. My secondary Spirit Guide is named Rupert. A dear friend of mine’s Spirit Guide is named Zora. Another dear friend’s Spirit Guide’s name is Joseph. It can be a very normal name, and it can be a more exotic, unusual name.

Speak out loud to your Spirit Guide, let him or her know you wish to cultivate a closer relationship and that you’d like for that to begin with the powerful rite of passage of getting onto a first-name basis.

If you ask for this revelation with fearlessness, true readiness, and with heartfelt conviction, in upcoming weeks you will receive the name on three separate occasions.

Again, as in #2, the name will come through songs, books, conversations, a postcard received, a name spray-painted on a brick wall, hearing someone call the name out loud near you on the street, an old, old friend with that name who calls you out of the blue after 23 years of no contact, or just through an unmistakable intuitive download, a “spontaneous Knowing.”

Try these tips for yourself and watch your Spirit Guides become less a vague, half-believed idea, and more an intimate, invaluable friendship you’ve cultivated that helps to sustain, strengthen, uplift, and support you in every aspect of your life. It’ll be amazing for you to reap the benefits in your life of having a real connection with your invisible helpers and guides.

I was absolutely thrilled to see that this angel creator dress-up game had wings with colored tips. I had a lot of fun creating my angelic form with this game.

I have several different angelic forms, see - the two I know of are sky/air form, and the one shown here, my land/earth form. If my gut instinct is right, and if this follows a pattern, I likely have a sea/water form and possibly a fourth fire form. Geez, I feel like an Eeveeloution already!

These forms differ slightly in appearance. My earth form has rounded ears, three eyes (you can’t see the third here, as a.) no option for that and b.) obscured by the hair anyway,) and, like my air form, glowing white skin and long white hair. Unlike shown here, it’s not curly, but straight. (Sadly, there was no option for long length straight hair.)

The clothes I’m wearing in this photo are just ones I chose for fun; none of these are artifacts important to my angelic form, sorry. I just thought they were cute. I especially loved the flower crown with antlers; it really says ‘earth’, doesn’t it?

Anyway, I totally recommend this game! It’s adorable, fun, and has so many different options. The art is cute, and the body is actually realistic, which really made me happy. It’s my favorite angel creator dress-up game so far, and definitely one of my favorite dress up games ever.

What is the purpose of Art? To give us the brief, dazzling illusion of the camellia, carving from time an emotional aperture that cannot be reduced to animal logic. How is Art born? It is begotten in the mind’s ability to sculpt the sensorial domain. What does Art do for us? It gives shape to our emotions, makes them visible and, in so doing, places a seal of eternity upon them, a seal representing all those works that, by means of a particular form, have incarnated the universal nature of human emotions.

Melkor ‘incarnated’ himself (as Morgoth) permanently. He did this so as to control the hroa, the 'flesh’ or physical matter, of Arda. He attempted to identify himself with it. A vaster, and more perilous, procedure, though of similar sort to the operations of Sauron with the Rings. Thus, outside the Blessed Realm, all 'matter’ was likely to have a 'Melkor ingredient’, and those who had bodies, nourished by the hroa of Arda, had as it were a tendency, small or great, towards Melkor: they were none of them wholly free of him in their incarnate form, and their bodies had an effect upon their spirits.

But in this way Morgoth lost (or exchanged, or transmuted) the greater part of his original 'angelic’ powers, of mind and spirit, while gaining a terrible grip upon the physical world. For this reason he /had/ to be fought, mainly by physical force, and enormous material ruin was a probable consequence of any direct combat with him, victorious or otherwise. This is the chief explanation of the constant reluctance of the Valar to come into open battle against Morgoth. Manwe’s task and problem was much more difficult than Gandalf’s. Sauron’s, relatively smaller, power was /concentrated/; Morgoth’s vast power was /disseminated/. The whole of 'Middle-earth’ was Morgoth’s Ring, though temporarily his attention was mainly upon the North-west. Unless swiftly successful, War against him might well end in reducing all Middle-earth to chaos, possibly even all Arda.

The BBC has officially announced this morning that Alex Kingston is returning to Doctor Who for this year’s Christmas special.

The actress will reprise her role as Professor River Song in the show’s eleventh Christmas episode, which begins filming this week.

The special is written by Steven Moffat and directed by Douglas Mackinnon (Sherlock).

Showrunner Steven Moffat hinted today: “Another Christmas, another special for Doctor Who – and what could be more special than the return of Alex Kingston as Professor River Song? The last time the Doctor saw her she was a ghost. The first time he met her, she died. So how can he be seeing her again? As ever, with the most complicated relationship in the universe, it’s a matter of time…”

The BBC’s synopsis for the episode reads: “It’s Christmas Day in the future and the TARDIS is parked on a snowy village street, covered in icicles, awaiting its next adventure. Time traveller River Song meets her husband’s new incarnation, in the form of Peter Capaldi, for the first time this Christmas.”

geekhyena  asked:

bec-centigrade and I were chatting and they mentioned shipping zelda and ganondorf and I'm not sure how that works, and they said to ask you for more information because you explain it really well so I was wondering if you could help me out? ^_^ I haven't played Zelda in a while and I never got heavily into the mythos but bec says your meta is awesome!

aaaa! I’m very flattered! Let me try.

Disclaimer: this is not everybody’s viewpoint. It is only my perspective. You may develop your own! I can’t :make” anybody ship anything or not. I can only explain (or attempt to explain) my feelings on the subject.

First of all: ZelGan/GanZel/Zelda x Ganondorf is what I consider a legacy ship. What does that mean? Well, they are two characters with many incarnations, forms, appearances, and canon relationships in different games. Even if they have one over-arching nemesis relationship (every Ganondorf, every Zelda) they are part of what I consider a legacy: infinite AUs with both of them in any circumstance. Sometimes Ganondorf is a King. Sometimes he’s a demon. Sometimes he’s in disgrace. Sometimes he’s even banished to another dimension. Sometimes Zelda is a queen. Sometimes she’s a princess. Sometimes she’s in hiding. Sometimes she’s rebelling against him. Sometimes she may even be working with him or using him. Both of them can be young. Both of them can be older. One can be young and one can be old. Both of them can even be dead together, or separately.

This means that they not only have an infinity of circumstances they could be in, and we’re not tied to just the canon game appearances (JUST TP Zelda and TP Ganondorf, for instance) for their relationship. It’s implied they’ll just keep meeting up somehow. Forever.

And because there’s an infinity of circumstances, there’s also an infinity of relationships. Do you like romance? Go for it, in any gender and sex au combination. Do you like platonic stuff? Coming together as enemies and becoming friends on an adventure is great! Do you like adult/kid parental relationships? We have a whole tag for little Zelda going on a culture exchange trip to the Gerudo Desert. Do you like hateshipping/rivalmance? Angry make outs ahoy. There are just so many possible iterations because they’re destined to at least come in contact with one another in every instance they both exist.

Second of all: they are characters that are peers. Ganondorf is the eternal legacy of an ancient evil, and before we knew that, we assumed he was the first ancient evil. Zelda is the heiress to the power of the heavens, and before we knew that, we assumed she was the origin of said power. While Link certainly can be included with them, he exists more to keep a balance between them. They’re the real forces opposed over Hyrule. But even in battle, there’s a likeness, a solidarity between them that renders them both quite alone compared to other mortals.

Zelda often is born into privilege, is the Princess of Destiny. Ganondorf is the opposite: he was born a pariah leader and aspires with ambition to have what she has. Zelda is the symbolic essence of Hyrule, and when she vanishes, Hyrule is thrown into chaos. Ganondorf covets Hyrule in all ways, and above all marks her, NOT Link, as both a threat and as the greatest opposition to him.

Zelda is a Princess, in what is presumed to be a patriarchal-style monarchy. If it wasn’t, her father would not be the one Ganondorf has to eliminate to get to her. Ganondorf is a King, yet there are no other men among his people to empower and he is checked by his background of ill repute. They are bound by different chains and cannot break their own, but if they allied, they could free each other.

They are both figures of immense magic and lore. Not only are they both highly important, they are both framed to understand that importance. Both presumably are highly intelligent, if not highly educated, and more than capable of playing a long game or scheming against each other… a trait that belies that people of similar ability often attract each other because they have much to discuss.

They foil each other in stereotype. Then they destroy those stereotypes. The image of the great beastlike man, especially a darker man, is often cast as a threat to a smaller, paler, idealized girl. But Ganondorf and Zelda defy that racism. He fears her, she is the only thing he fears. She is the source of what can kill him, she is poison to him that he must covet because she represents all he has ever wanted in this world, Hyrule, all that keeps him coming back over and over again. He can’t destroy her. He can’t control her. He must keep her behind glass, glass she’s already figured out how to escape even when she’s asleep before he even begins, if he is to survive. Even if she must use her Hero as her hands where she cannot go, he has never triumphed over her in the end.

In turn, he represents defiance and change. He represents an end to the stagnation of her kingdom, through violent upheaval, or through clever subterfuge. She may hold all of the cards but he has the power to undo all she has, to keep her in check, to change things where with her they’d run the same forever. He is exciting, the catalyst, the destroyer, the fire that can clear the world of what little holds her down. He is what ends, and then begins everything.

This is not to say Link is unimportant. he’s the third aspect that prevents them from fighting forever– he equalizes and stabilizes them, and when one (in the games, Ganondorf, in fanon, anybody) becomes too dangerous, he appears to remove them for a while.

But out of the trinity, this is why one might pick this duality in particular. Ganondorf and Zelda are peers, set up to not only push each other to new heights, but also to have a kinship and a symbiotic relationship with each other even when they are mortal enemies. Without one, the other has little to do, and waits until the next life to rise up or be challenged. Who is to say that in every lifetime, they begin or end as bitter enemies? There’s quite a lot more two people can do, after all.

stories about persia (1/?) . mythology/religion . mithraism

Mithraism is one of the original Persian religions and involves their ancient hierarchy of gods, as restructured by Zarathustra (c. 628-c. 551 bc) in the holy books called the Avestas.
The universe was seen as involved in an eternal fight between light and darkness, personified by Ahura-Mazda (good) vs. Ahriman (evil).  This idea probably influenced Jews while they were in Babylon, which is when they adopted HaShatan – Satan – as the evil one!
Within the Persian pantheon, Mithra was “the judger of souls” and “the protector,” and was considered the representative of Ahura-Mazda on earth.
Mithra, legend says, was incarnated into human form (as prophesized by Zarathustra) in 272 bc. He was born of a virgin, who was called the Mother of God. Mithra’s birthday was celebrated December 25 and he was called “the light of the world.”  After teaching for 36 years, he ascended into heaven in 208 bc.
There were many similarities with Christianity:  Mithraists believed in heaven and hell, judgement and resurrection. They had baptism and communion of bread and wine.  They believed in service to God and others. In the Roman Empire, Mithra became associated with the sun, and was referred to as the Sol Invictus, or unconquerable sun.  The first day of the week – Sunday – was devoted to prayer to him. The early Christian church later adopted Sunday as their holy day, and December 25 as the birthday of Jesus.
Mithra became the patron of soldiers.  Soldiers in the Roman legions believed they should fight for the good, the light. They believed in self-discipline and chastity and brotherhood. Note that the custom of shaking hands comes from the Mithraic greeting of Roman soldiers. (x)
