I-blame-you-entirely-for-this

Wow that debate was something else.

On hand you have Hillary, who responded to all the non sense and fart noises coming from the bloated cheetoh next to her with practiced grace, specific talking points with sources and numbers to back it up, and generally sticking to the format of the debate like one would expect of a professional.

On the other hand, you had Trump whose entire strategy was to blame every problem since forever on democrats and Hillary, promising he could fix it all like some kind of snake oil salesman, trying to yell over her, changing every topic to something irrelevant and rambling, or just yelling “wrong”. And that’s when when he wasn’t sniffling into the mic.

Trump was fraying at the edges within minutes, and couldn’t help but to rant–I swear to god I thought he was gonna have a heart attack right there on the stage.

Good times.

Trevor Noah: Donald Trump Was ‘Sniffing All the Bulls**t He Was Saying’ at Debate
‘The Daily Show’ goes live after the first 2016 presidential debate—and declares Donald Trump the night’s biggest loser.

The Daily Show was the first of several late-night shows to go live following Monday night’s debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. And host Trevor Noah was eager to weigh in on what will surely be one of the most-watched political events of all time.

“Welcome to the real live version of Twitter, people!” Noah said after playing a montage of the debate’s nastiest moments. “At that point, Lester Holt wasn’t even moderating anymore, he was just eating popcorn like everyone else.”

Noah proceeded to hit Trump for claiming Clinton has been “fighting ISIS her entire adult life,” asking “why not?” when Clinton suggested he would blame her for anything, and bragging about not paying his taxes. “I’m sorry, what? Dude, taxes are a responsibility, not something to evade,” Noah said. “You’re running to be the No. 1 citizen of a country. You shouldn’t brag about ways you found ways to get around the rules.”

But nothing made Noah angrier than Trump comparing American airports to those in Third World countries. “Our airports are nicer than yours, Donald Trump,” the South African host said. “Don’t bring Third World countries into this shit, you hear me?”

Finally, Noah channeled Trump when he brought up the candidate’s persistent, audible sniffing throughout the debate. “I don’t want to start any rumors, but there’s a reason I think Trump didn’t do well,” he said. “I’m not sure and I’m not trying to start rumors, but Trump was sniffing a lot at the debate. And someone needs to look into that.” Perhaps, the host suggested, Trump was just “sniffing all of the bullshit he was saying.”

Top three moments from the debate:

  • When Trump just started screaming at Lester Holt that he didn’t support the Iraq War
  • When Trump flat-out told Lester Holt “NO YOU’RE WRONG” on the unconstitutionality of stop-and-frisk
  • The entire debacle of a conversation about birtherism, with Trump trying to blame Hillary and responding to “What do you say to Americans of color” with “I say nothing”

What do you think about the criticism of Snow not noticing and talking to Emma about her tremors, but being more of a mother to Regina? Just wanted to get your thoughts!

See, I get where people are coming from with that, so while I refuse to hate on Snow – I get it. But that was a writing choice, tbh. So I think the blame should be put on the writers more than saying Snow actively chose Regina over Emma. But also in defense of the writers, the Snow/Regina relationship is the FOUNDATION of this show. It’s what started the entire story so it makes sense that they prioritize those moments over others.

I wish there were more moments with Snow & Emma. I wish there were more moments with Charming & Emma. I wish there were more moments with the both of them & Emma but it’s only the first episode back so I’m just gonna wait and see what they’ve got planned, you know? Sure, it would have been nice for Snow to go to Emma – but they wanted to give those moments to Emma & Hook. I know people don’t like Regina and would just rather her not have scenes at all but, that’s just asking too much. Sorry, it is. She’s probably the second most important character on this show aside from Emma. She had to have an emotional scene with SOMEONE. So I understand why the writers had Emma & Hook dealing with the Emma stuff and having Snow help Regina.

It doesn’t mean we won’t see Mama Snow w/her daughter in future episodes. There are important relationships outside of Emma – yes, she’s the main character but everything doesn’t 100% revolve around her. And again, I get it. I get why people are bothered by it so their feelings are valid, I just think it’s the way the writing was structured. Regina’s redemption lies with her relationship with the Charmings and if she’s to be truly redeemed, she needs to have these types of scenes with Snow to make it believable. It wasn’t about Snow choosing Regina over Emma to me. It was just about furthering the Snow Queen relationship and setting up Regina’s redemption arc by her showing remorse about how she treated Snow in the past.

take a deep breath;
so that either side of your heart becomes numb.
exhale one more time.

until you feel the slightest of pain;
it’s alright if you feel so full of air;
that you feel,
nothing’s left inside you anymore.
no one’s blaming you.
it’s alright ot make mistakes sometimes.
it happens to the best of us.
the words, “it’s okay” -
they may be nothing but words,
but isn’t there a day that i can,
do something about somebody’s sigh?
that deep breath of sorrow.
i can’t understand your innermost thoughts;
but that’s okay. i’ll take you in my embrace.
i’ll take you in my embrace.

to others, your sigh may seem
like one of tiredness, but i know
that you spent an entire day
so different that the smallest breathe is hard to breathe.
don’t think of that any longer; take a deep breath.

but, isn’t there a way that i can
do something about somebody’s sigh?
that deep breath of sorrow;
i can’t understand your innermost thoughts.
but that’s okay. i’ll take you into my embrace.
you’ve done so well.

Bruce, I forgive you for not saving me. But why? Why on God’s earth is he still alive?! […] Ignoring what he’s done in the past. Blindly, stupidly, disregarding the entire graveyards he’s filled, the thousands who have suffered, the friends he’s crippled. You know, I thought…  I thought I’d be the last person you’d ever let him hurt. If it had been you that he beat to a bloody pulp, if he had taken you from this world, I would’ve done nothing  but search the planet for this pathetic pile of evil death-worshipping garbage and send him off to hell.

Okay but now I really am getting emotional over Steve and Tony as Actual Co-Leaders of the Avengers because like

Tony seems like the kind of person who has so many thoughts racing around at any given time that to really focus in on one train, he has to talk it out and force himself to think linearly (cue JARVIS and the bots). We see something like that in Avengers, when Steve and Tony are talking about Coulson and then Tony takes off trying to figure out Loki, and by bouncing his thoughts off of Steve, he realizes he already knows where Loki is; and that’s echoed in AoU, when they’re actively working out their next steps at Clint’s farmhouse.

So like

I like to think that, somewhere between Avengers and AoU, as the team comes together to shut down all the rogue HYDRA bases and look for the scepter, this becomes something of a ritual: before every raid, Tony and Steve wander off alone so Tony can rattle off every possible scenario he can imagine given what they know, and then Steve strategizes accordingly. And they both know they can’t possibly plan for every single scenario – and it’s fine, they’re both very practiced improvisers – but they at least have a unified sense of what COULD happen and how they COULD react. As co-leaders. As a team.

So Mercs/Blackwatch AU, where Locus has an embarrassing crush on Commander Reyes.

I blame each and every single one of you for this.

Take care of yourselves, watch the people around you carefully, and cordon off the ones who are toxic, so that the universe can decontaminate them for you through exposure and death.
—

Warren Ellis

This is always very good advice (I’ve written some version of it myself at various times), but it’s especially poignant for me to read it from Warren, now, because I’ve just had to remove a profoundly toxic, dishonest, manipulative, bad, bad, bad person from my life. You’d think it would be easy, but it wasn’t.

So, speaking from experience: it’s not your fault that a toxic person fooled you, even if they fooled you for years. It’s not your fault, and while it is entirely expected that you go through the normal grieving process that is associated with any loss, try not to spend any time blaming yourself for not seeing all the things that you can see now in hindsight much sooner than you did.

Take care of yourself, as Warren says.

It makes me feel physically sick that so many teen girls love Bellamy Blake and support his every choice. It really scares me that they’re being taught that he’s the ideal man. He’s abusive.This show and these writers are literally teaching their young viewers to see signs of abuse as someone being protective and showing just how much they love you. These kids are going to think being controlled is okay and that taking the blame for someone else’s destructive choices is romantic. As someone who was a victim of emotional abuse and watched my mother deal with the worst of it throughout my entire childhood, I’m just really, really worried.

I got you. We got this.

A very quick colored doodle because I saw so much MegaRod handholding headcanons on twitter that I wanted to scribble some during my breaks because I was really inspired by everyone

its unfathomable and disgusting to me how many of y'all are completely ignorant to what the BLM movement actually stands for. you’d rather believe they endorse the murder of all cops than hear the bottom line that is “stop killing us”

the movement isnt about murdering all cops for the offenses of a few. but when cops appropriate a victim complex where they instead want to believe we all want them dead and would prefer to defend the unjust actions of their own rather than own up and say “that situation could have been handled better” it does nothing but endorse that that person agreed with their actions.

when some cops can blatantly mistreat a black suspect, assault and kill them on camera and not face the consequences of those actions again and again. it only says that the government supports the mistreatment of black suspects. and the movement is fighting for that fair treatment. just as you preach you cant blame “all cops” for the gross actions of a few, you can’t blame the entire BLM movement for the actions of whoever took advantage of the protest to murder those cops.

however you all have the privilege of saying “not all cops” rather than denouncing the actions of the few who’ve fucked up. but you’re “not endorsing what they did.” while if we dont immediately say “those people had nothing to do with our movement and should be punished” we’re endorsing he murder of cops and the entire BLM movement suffers for it.

that double standard is something i can not stand.
