You know, I kind of hate controversial topics because someone seems to hate you no matter what you say, especially if you’re like me and tend to have an extremely neutral viewpoint on most things and everyone thinks your being wishy-washy. :/
Now, before you judge me for what this post says, read the whole freaking thing because the first sentence won’t give you the whole picture.
I haven’t stated it much on here before, but yeah, I am a Christian, and since the Bible (which I have perfectly good reasons to believe BTW, but that’s a different rant for a different time) says marriage is supposed to be a man and a woman, I don’t support homosexuality.
HOWEVER, the Bible also teaches we’re supposed to love, respect, and care for EVERYONE, even if you don’t approve of stuff they think/do/feel/whatever, so I’ll still respect a homosexual person and treat them like any other person because that’s what I’m supposed to do. They’re still people after all, and I’m supposed to love everyone. Heck, I even have dome friends that are bi. Yet whenever I say what I think about this subject, usually the person will either get mad at me for being a homophobe or think I’m compromising my beliefs.
I’m still very strong in my beliefs, did those people miss the parts of the Bible that teach that you’re even supposed to care about those people that have different thoughts then you?
And to you gay-rights supporters, fine, call me a homophobic person, despite the fact I treat homosexuals like any other people instead of shunning them like they were rats.
