Stop this “work hard” bullshit. You deserve free time, you deserve sleep and you deserve mental health. You deserve to procrastinate and you deserve to have your hobbies. You deserve it. You need it. No one should work & study all the time.
what she means:
did Zuko ever meet that little boy from "Zuko Alone" again? that little gap-toothed troublemaker who treated Zuko like a brother? i know they parted on such bad terms when Zuko revealed his identity, and i really don't blame him because at that time Zuko was still kind of an asshole, but did they ever see each other after the war? did the little boy hear about how Zuko disowned his father and joined the Avatar? did he learn that Zuko was the one to fight Azula in that fateful battle? did Zuko visit an earth kingdom town one one of his royal trips and recognize him years later? did the little boy apologize for rejecting him? or did maybe he go to the fire nation to see if Zuko remembered him? did Zuko beg forgiveness for the crimes of the fire nation? did they make up? did they hug it out? did the little boy's brother survive the war? did he introduce him to Zuko? did Zuko insist on giving him the pearl dagger he tried to give him before he left? did the little boy accept it this time? did
Ok but you know why I ship Keith and Lance so much, aside from how interesting and alive their dynamic/interactions are?
It’s because they are good for each other.
For Keith, Lance is someone that calms his temper when it counts, someone that isn’t afraid to speak his mind when he fucked up. But he’s also grounding, supporting him when he needs support, cheering him up when he’s down and listening to him when he has concerns about his own behavior. With Lance, Keith can let loose and grin and joke around - the only time he has made a joke without Lance was with Hunk and there was a distinct lack of a teasing smile/waiting for a reaction. He also knows that Lance won’t make fun of him for not understanding certain jokes or social norms, he has learned to simply turn to Lance for explanations.
For Lance, Keith is someone that listens. He can be honest about what bothers him and knows that Keith will take him seriously. More importantly though Keith is his equal. They are rivals, “neck and neck”. Keith is someone that continuously challenges Lance to better himself and even if he might feel inferior/jealous sometimes because Keith seems to be good at everything, he doesn’t doubt that Keith is someone in his reach. Lance admires him but has no delusions about his shortcomings (as it might be the case with hero-worship, he just honestly admires him). Keith is also someone Lance has fun with, Lance is competitive, the repeated challenges and the teasing make him happy.
I’m just?? All of that comes on top of the general team stuff. Because they “make a good team”. They trust each other in battle. They repeatedly save each other’s lives. They miss each other when they say goodbye. They openly worry about each other when one of them seems to be in trouble.
No, they aren’t perfect. They started out on the wrong foot and still mess up a lot. But they are trying, they care about each other and they are learning, there is no doubt that they are someone special in the other’s life.
