Are you looking forward to the Super Bowl?

Did you know large events like the Super Bowl are associated with human trafficking?

According to a January 2014 USA Today article, human traffickers see major sporting events as lucrative opportunities to bring adults and children to the area of the event, where they are forced into prostitution or made to clean hotel rooms or work in restaurants without pay.

At events and in your community, keep your eyes open. Do you feel a situation is not quite right? Do you suspect human trafficking?

Call the National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC) toll-free hotline at 1-888-373-7888. Call Specialists are available 24/7 to take reports of potential human trafficking. All reports are confidential and you may remain anonymous. Interpreters are available.

January is Human Trafficking Awareness month.

The fight against sex slavery

Sunitha Krishnan has dedicated her life to rescuing women and children from sex slavery, a multimilion-dollar global market. In this courageous talk, she tells three powerful stories, as well as her own, and calls for a more humane approach to helping these young victims rebuild their lives.

So powerful! Everyone should watch and share this!!

“At International Princess™ Project we seek to not only help these women and girls escape FROM a life of sexual slavery, we seek to bring them INTO a life of hope, dignity, and freedom.”

Slavery still Exists. Escaping the ravages of sex slavery is difficult, complex. And, yet…there is HOPE.
