Resilient is the best word to describe these trees. One of the longest living life forms on the planet the Bristlecone Pine love harsh environment of high altitudes near 10,000 ft (3300m), here filmed at moonset under starry sky of White Mountains #California, near #Bishop. This twisted pine is ~ 3600 years old and the oldest ones are at their 5000 years! Follow me @babaktafreshi for more of the world’s starry nights.

So I met Daveed Diggs today. I awkwardly said hi and he said hi back but he was setting up and carrying things into the venue and I thought it’d be rude to ask for a photo so instead, I walked around the block three times because i was freaking out. Nonetheless, Clipping was amazing as always, I’ve never yelled song lyrics so loudly in my life, and I left smelling like sweat and just a little hint weed. Someway, baby,
it’s part of me, apart from me
You’re laying waste to Halloween
You fucked it friend,
it’s on its head,
it struck the street
You’re in Milwaukee, off your feet
And at once I knew I was not magnificent
Strayed above the highway aisle
Jagged vacance, thick with ice
And I could see for miles, miles, miles

Schomburgk’s Deer.
It was similar in appearance to the extant barasingha, with its coat being dark brown above and lighter below. It had impressive and beautiful antlers, that grew to have up to 33 points. Because of agricultural expansion and the decimation of most grassland in Thailand, combined with overhunting, the population of Schomburgk’s deer declined rapidly from the late 1800s to early 1900s. The last known member of this species was killed in 1938.

Holocene; 4C00-002C-5232 (completed!)

Named after the Bon Iver song of the same name, Holocene is a sleepy, dark autumn town that somehow still manages to shimmer in the light dusting of early snowfall. Filled with plenty of apple and cedar trees, a multitude of flowers, and interesting tiled paths that run through town and twist through the forest, Holocene was created to give off a cozy, homey vibe. This is the first dream town I’ve ever completed, and I’m super proud of how it turned out! I worked really hard on creating this town and I sincerely hope you enjoy it!
