Today this amazing young man celebrates his 26th birthday. An unbeliveably skillful footballer but an amazing person as well.
He has suffered a lot of injuries which have kept him away from the pitch for two years.
He lost the possibility of playing in a Champions League final, he didn’t manage to be fit enough to take part in the World Cup, yet here he is. Standing up with pride and passion. Working hard to improve every day. Smiling and shining because he’s finally able to kick his beloved ball, to smell the pitch’s grass, to have fun with his teammates from whom he’s been separated for too long.
He’s finally back, playing wonderfully every single minute but the best is that he’s not on his top form yet. A bright and succesful future is waiting for him.
Happy birthday Holger, I wish you all the best in life, you really deserve it.
“he’s not in great shape. It’s horrible for him, and a real shock for us too. But Holger is already looking to the future, he’s strong. All we can do is wish him the very best, and hope he’s back with us as soon as possible”-Jerome Boateng
