Coprosma Hawk Moth - Hippotion scrofa
 - Identification
The Coprosma Hawk Moth has brown forewings with some darker mottling and indistinct vein pattern. The hind wings are reddish with black trailing edge. The body is cigar shaped tapering to a point at the tail.

Ahhhh~~!!!!! I can’t believe I found this cute just outside! She was sleeping beside dead leaves that looked just like her, only bigger so I went to investigate.

She flew off right under my mother’s foot and I thoguht she had been squished but the mark on the floor was a path of chest fur/scales. I gave her a thorough check over and somehow she is perfectly fine! I was nearly in tears I was so glad ;o;

I put her back where I got her from after the photos, giving her a lil sip of sugar water before she left~
