Did you know? That the center of Hollywood Studios over at the Walt Disney World resort creates a giant hidden Mickey? (This ariel shot was taken before the placement of the hat which now rests on his nose.)
Back when I worked at Disney, it was tradition to occasionally sneak hidden Mickeys into some of the art assets. You start to develop an eye for spotting these things. Overwatch has a very subtle one hidden in the “Are You With Us?” trailer (1:24)
In the movie “Lilo and Stitch”, references to “Mulan” are because the voice of Stitch, Chris Sanders, is one of the writers of “Lilo and Stitch” - and also one of the writers of “Mulan”
When Lilo is looking at the ‘shooting star’ you’ll see Dumbo. This is a homage to the traditional animation, since Lilo & Stitch is the first Disney film in decades to use watercolor backgrounds. It also is clear when Stitch builds San Francisco in left upper corner and again when he leaves Lilo’s room the night of the sand castle building scene.
The scene where Lilo and Stitch are looking at postcards on the street you will see a postcard of the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella’s Castle.
Also numerous hidden Mickey’s to spot. A more noticeable one is hanging as a picture in Lilo’s room.
