Helen Jenning

Imagine this for a second: you have a husband, and you love him very much. He’s handsome, and charming, and attentive, and funny, and everything you’ve ever wanted, and he loves you just as much as you love him.

He works as an actor, together with other actors and actresses, and sometimes he hangs out with them on set and goofs around. There’s an actress with whom he’s good friends. Maybe they play love interests. Maybe not. Either way, they get along, and they’re friends. And you’re friends with said actress, too.

And now imagine that people talk online about your husband and his co-worker, speculating that they’re together, maybe telling your husband he should leave you for his co-worker or condemning him/them for something they’d never do or saying they’re a cute couple. Or sharing edits of their characters in, shall we say, mature situations, and tagging them in it so they show up in their newsfeeds, or when you or your family or friends google them. Not their characters, but them.

Imagine how you’d feel.

Or imagine how you’d feel if you were the husband, or the co-worker, being accused of something you’d never do. Being accused of doing, or encouraged to do, something that would hurt someone you love very much.

Imagine how you’d feel.

And maybe take that into account before you speak/tweet/etc.

ATLANTA | JOIN US FOR THE FIRST FRIED PIE CON

2nd & Charles | Kennesaw, GA | May 28, 2016

What is Fried Pie Con?
We love comic books, obviously. We love the creators, the consumers, and everybody who plays a part in this community. Fried Pie Con is our way of celebrating this great community by bringing you all together.

How can I attend?
Simply speaking, you just show up! No cost to attend, no barriers for entry, nothing. This is open to the public (and that includes you)!

Who will be there?
Well, besides the cool people behind Fried Pie Comics and yourself… We have a great list of creators coming out! Our headlining guests will be Jen Van Meter (Hopeless Savages), Monica Gallagher (PartTime Princesses), Yuko Ota (Lucky Penny, Adventure Time: Candy Capers), and Tessa Stone (Buzz).

Other great creators include Jackie Lewis (Lion of Rora, Merry Men), Samantha Knapp, Emily Helen and Elizabeth Enright.

It’s going to be a good time.

What’s going on?
Aside from the chance to meet these great artists and get signed comics, we will also have panels with the creators, a gaming tournament at the 2nd & Charles gaming arena, and much more!

For those of you into comic books (all of you, we hope), there will be exclusive variant comics for the con! Find out more information on those at Comic Book Resources.

RSVP at the 2nd & Charles Kennesaw’s Facebook page. We can’t wait to see you there!

so, without getting back into the unacceptable fuckery of last night, i would like to simply state that i find it beautiful that jen and helen are such good friends. jen has spoken many times about how she is grateful for colin’s entire family, and the fact that she and helen are so close allows everyone concerned to just relax and let jen and colin develop a beautiful working relationship and chemistry onscreen as emma and killian, something which they clearly pour their hearts into and are very proud of. SO. be grateful to jen and colin and helen for both creating the fictional partnership that we enjoy, and for creating a real-life connection and valuable friendship to build it on. that is rare and we are very lucky. as jen says, please respect that.

So Colin and Helen invited Jen to spend the Easter with them. And then Colin basically said Jen was family.

JUST LET ME SLIDE THROUGH A BLADE AND THEN FALL IN A ALCOHOL FILLED POOL.

That dinner must’ve been great. This is all I can think about:

Helen: “Colin is a great kisser!”

Jen: “I know, right?”

Colin: *blushes*

Helen: “He’s so cute!”

Jen: “Adorable!”

Colin: *blushes* “Stahhhp”

I don't know if you saw the ouat comic con 2016 interviews, But i personally think J Mo was pushing it. Like sitting on colin's lap for pictures, seriously?. There were other places to sit, or the cast could have made her some room. She didn't have to do that. I kinda get disgusted at her behavior towards him, like be professional. He has a wife and a child. Like Relax J mo. And I don't even think helen and jen are all that buddy buddy honestly.

I heard/read JMO was being gross at Comic Con. But was it her decision? Or I wonder if PR people told her to act as such.
