Abu Huraira reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: “The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.” Sahih Muslim 854 b

SUNAN IBN MAJAH: The Book of Sunnah: Hadith 244

It was narrated from Sahl bin Sa’d that: The Messenger of Allah said: “This goodness contains many treasures, and for those there are keys. So glad tidings to the one whom Allah makes a key to good and a lock for evil, and woe to the one whom Allah makes a key to evil and a lock to good.”

SUNAH IBN MAJAH :the book of sunnah : 244/278

Sa'ad ibn Waqas (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu allayhi wasalam) said, “The supplication made by the Companion of the Fish (Prophet Yunus (as)) in the belly of the fish was (the above). If any Muslim supplicates in these words, his supplication will be accepted/responded to.”

In another report we read, “I know words that will cause Allah to remove one’s distress. These are the words (of supplication) of my brother Yunus, peace be upon him”

[at-Tirmidhi; 3500, an-Nisa'i in `Amal al-yawmi wa al-layla; #656, al-Hakim 1:505 and 2:383. The latter declared it sound (sahih) and Dhahabi confirmed him]

Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Miscellany Book 1, Hadith 373

Narrated ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab (ra):
I sought permission of the Prophet (pbuh) to perform 'Umrah. He granted me leave and said, “Dear brother! Do not forget us in your supplications”. ('Umar added): This is something I would not exchange for the whole world.Another narration is: He (pbuh) said, “Include us, my dear brother, in your supplications.” [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi, who categorized the Hadith as Hasan Sahih. Sheikh Salim Al-Hilali in his book “Bahjatun-Nazireen, Sharh Riyad-us- Saliheen” classifies it as “Da'if”, the reason being that 'Asim bin 'Abdullah is “weak” in narration].

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Nothing keeps away the decree (of Allah) except prayer, and nothing increases the life (of man) except goodness; and man is only denied the provisions (of life) because of sins upon which he falls.” [Ibn Majah]

“Almsgiving extinguishes the wrath of Allah.” [Tirmidhi]

This hadith tells us many important things:
1. If we want to prevent misfortunes, accidents, and bad things in general from happening to us, we should make dua. Dua alone has the power to stall some misfortune that was decreed to befall us.
2. If we want to live longer, then we should practice what Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) defines as goodness.
3. If we want our rizq/provisions to increase, we should not commit sins.
4. If we don’t want to be punished by Allah (subhana wa ta'ala) for our sins, we should give sadaqa/charity.

On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Allah the Almighty said:

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.

at-Tirmidhi & Ahmad ibn Hanbal

Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying:

A person suffered from intense thirst while on a journey, when he found a well. He climbed down into it and drank water and then came out and saw a dog lolling its tongue on account of thirst and eating the moistened earth. The person said: “This dog has suffered from thirst as I had suffered from it”. He climbed down into the well, filled his shoe with water, then caught it in his mouth until he climbed up and made the dog drink it. So Allah appreciated this act of his and pardoned him.

Then (the Companions around him) said: “Allah’s Messenger for (serving) such animals?” He ﷺ said: “Yes, there is a reward for kindness to every living animal”

[Sahih Muslim: Book 39, Hadith 210]

Narrated Al-Bara bin `Azib: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said to me, “When you want to go to bed, perform ablution as you do for prayer, then lie down on your right side and say: ‘Allahumma aslamtu wajhi ilaika, wa fawwadtu 'amri ilaika wa alja'tu dhahri ilaika, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika, la malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilaika. Amantu bikitabik al-ladhi anzalta wa binabiyyika al-ladhi arsalta’. If you should die then (after reciting this) you will die on the religion of Islam (i.e., as a Muslim); so let these words be the last you say (before going to bed)” While I was memorizing it, I said, “Wa birasulika al-ladhi arsalta (in Your Apostle whom You have sent).’ The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No, but say: Wa binabiyyika al-ladhi arsalta (in Your Prophet whom You have sent). Sahih al-Bukhari 6311

If you dont understand something, inquire. Dont assume, ask questions. Don’t jump to conclusions. The best way to know something if you don’t understand, is to learn. Learn Islam. Study Islam. You will find the answers. Don’t keep relying on the Internet.

There are some Dawah pages that I’ve seen, that post one thing and say another thing on other people’s posts. If you can’t understand a message behind a post, what hope is there for others? If you can’t practice what you preach, what hope is there for others?

The amount of ignorance and misguidance out there is shocking. That is why it is important you find out for yourself. Seek knowledge.
