Self Care Basics 🕊

It can be hard to know how & where to begin giving your self some appreciation, esp when you don’t exactly love yourself so easy way to start is with the 4 elements (air, earth, fire, water):

  • Air - take a sec & breathe¡  for yall stubborn shallow breathers, inhale = fill your tum so it sticks out, exhale = release (imagine blowing up a ballon) this is what’s known as diaphragmatic breathing, which helps a heap with anxiety since when we breathe short shallow breaths the body goes into stress mode thinking it’s getting attacked
  • Earth - eat that bit better with real legit food & also going back to whats real, that being mother nature tha goddess
  • Fire - getting on the vitamin d, being in sunlight + the sun is life, provides life, we are life, go figure
  • Water  - your body runs on it, runs heck better with it, 64 oz is good to aim for - your skin & hair will lovelove you for it

Advice for Baby Witchies!

-You are amazing no matter what type of witch you are.

-Just because you haven’t been a witch as long as others does not mean that you aren’t every bit as awesome.

-Be careful not to take any practices or traditions from closed cultures.

-If you can’t keep a succulent alive, it’s perfectly fine.

-Being a witch does not mean that you have to dedicate your every waking hour to the craft.

-Don’t be afraid to ask a fellow witch a question. We’re here for you!

-You do not have to be a part of a coven. Solitary witches are a thing.

-Your altar does not have to be towering and overflowing with herbs and crystals and giant tomes. It can be in a mint tin, in your closet, in a box under your bed, whatever.

-Buying tons of expensive herbs is not necessary. Witchcraft can be expensive, but it most certainly doesn’t have to be.

-Witchcraft can be woven into every little thing. Making breakfast, driving to school or work, braiding your hair, making your bed, anything.

-Don’t let other witches pressure you or make you feel inferior. You’re bomb!

-It’s okay if you don’t feel up to doing any Witchcraft sometimes. It’s not the only part of your life.

-Support is key. We’re all here for one another. Embrace it.

Russian hackers are hiding malicious code in plain sight — on Britney Spears’ Instagram

  • Turla, a notorious Russian-speaking hacking collective, hid the URL of its control server in comments on Britney Spears’ Instagram, as detailed in a new report from antivirus providers on WeLiveSecurity.
  • You can read about the hackers’ full process here. A brief explanation:
  • The JavaScript backdoor — actually a Firefox extension — scanned and hashed all of the comments on Britney’s Instagram post until it detected one with a certain value, which then fetched the domain of the control server that moves stolen info to and from compromised computers.
  • In this case, the value was 183. The comment was “#2hot make loved to her, uupss #Hot #X.” Read more (6/7/17)
