In 1993 Malibu comics made a half-hour short film as a prequel to their comic book “Firearm.” Which was about a non-powered private eye that specialized in fighting supervillians “Ultra” criminals. Despite the cheesy nature of the film the actual comic was critically acclaimed at the time thanks to the work of writer James Robinson who would go on to create Starman for DC and artist Howard Chaykin.
