Information: (Y/N)= your name
Pairing: James Potter x Female Slytherin reader
Numbers:
21. “We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain?”
40. “Have I entered an alternate universe or did you really just crack a smile for me?”

From day one at Hogwarts, James had a sudden interest in a particular girl. She on the other hand, didn’t really like James. It was safe to say that she wouldn’t care if he suddenly disappeared. Well that was what she was trying to make herself think. Deep down she thought James Potter was very handsome and funny too. But oh no she couldn’t show it, could she? She was sorted into Slytherin just after James was sorted into Gryffindor.

“Hey (Y/N)!” James yelled across the grassfield where (Y/N) and her friends were walking. She sighs and turned around to face him as he came running towards her. “What now Potter?” she asked. “Let’s make a bet” he said, slightly out of breath. “What kind of?” her friends already leaved her behind, alone with James. “You and I, a date, tomorrow. If I can make you have fun, we go on another one, if you don’t have fun, I won’t bother you anymore” he said. “Do we have a deal?” he asked. One date shouldn’t matter, and she could just acted like she didn’t have fun. He would leave her alone after that. “Sure” they shook hands.

So the next day, they both set off to Hogsmeade. It wasn’t awkward, James kept rambling about how pretty she looked and that he was happy that she finally agreed to go on a date and that he promised she would have fun. (Y/N) thought it was very sweet of him, and didn’t knew if she could act like she didn’t have fun. She didn’t want to break his heart anymore, he seemed way too happy that they were walking in Hogsmeade now. “Do you fancy a butterbeer?” he asked and she agreed.

Unfortunately the day had to end earlier because of a storm breaking out and everyone was called by teachers to return to Hogwarts. James and (Y/N) walked away as last. Covering their heads with their hands and jackets, the students returned to their warm school. James shivered because of the cold rain dripping down his neck, but (Y/N) was closing her eyes and stopped in her tracks. Loud thunder was heard and the lightning hit a tree not far away from them. James screamed but (Y/N) laughed. She held her arms high in the air and started making spins like a ballerina.  “We’re in the middle of a thunderstorm and you wanna stop and feel the rain? Are you bloody crazy!?” James yelled, half amazed half scared that they were the next one to be hit by the lightning. Without waiting for an answer, James picked her up in bridal style and carried her back to the castle. “You’re bloody crazy, do you know that?” he chuckled. “Yeah” she giggled. “Sorry” “Don’t apologize. That’s one more reason why I love you” he said and (Y/N) felt a warmth creep up her cheeks even though she was freezing.

James set her down once they were save and warm in the castle. “I had fun, thank you James” she smiled.  “Have I entered an alternate universe or did you really just crack a smile for me?” James grinned. “Oh shut it Potter” you tried to hit him on his chest, but James was fast enough to grab your wrist and pulled you into a deep kiss. You were taken back when he relieved you and blinked a couple times before realizing what happened and blushed like crazy. “Well I like you too, you git” you said, and this time you did hit him on his chest before connecting your lips once again.

From painter to favorite model
Edma and Berthe Morisot have been painting together for more than 10 years. After her marriage in 1869, Edma stopped painting and became her sister’s favorite model for the coming years. Here she is sitting in the green grassfield of one of the houses situated on the cliffs of Petites-Dalles.
