They say your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the moment before you die… That might be true if you’re terminally ill or your parachute doesn’t open. But if death sneaks up on you, the only time you have to think is: “Aw, shit.”

I always thought I loved Halloween because I got to look behind all those closed doors, but now I see that it’s because I was painted with something darker… that I was meant to see the dark, and through the dark… I’m not supposed to be here… but I am. I don’t know if I’m supposed to watch over them, or just haunt them. Either way, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t having fun. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to be here… walking through a graveyard the day after Halloween, on a quiet and beautiful november morning… It’s not so bad… being dead like me.

I was tagged by the lovely @peeps-the-writer

1) Illyria from Angel (Hands down favorite female character, total badass)

2) Ann Perkins from Parks and Rec

3) Eleven from Stranger Things

4)  Lt. Ripley from the Alien/s series

5) Dana Scully from X-Files

6)  Ensign Ro from Star Trek: The Next Generation

7) Nebula from Guardians of the Galaxy

8) Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter

9) Diana Prince from Wonder Woman

10)  Georgia “George” Lass from Dead Like Me

@sonicskullsalt tagged me to name my ten favorite female characters from 10 different fandoms and tag ten people to do the same. Thank you. It took me quite some time and my reasoning is in no way as well thought out as yours but here you go:

1 - Vernoica Mars / Veronica Mars - she’s tough, strong, smart, a good photographer but not invincible

2 - Firefly / Kaywinnet Lee “Kaylee” Frye - ok, I could have picked any of the female characters because they’re all awesome but Kaylee is the crew’s heart and therefore my pick

3 - Dead Like Me / Georgia “George” Lass - watch it and you’ll underestand

4 - Life / Dani Reese - good cop fighting her own demons, trying to get along with this weirdo who was just assigend to her as a her new partner after having spent years in prison for a murder he didn’t commit; she’s smart, feisty, sometimes has a short fuse, and at the same time she’s loveable

5 - Endeavour / Dorothea Frazil - I think she’s great

6 - Sherlock / Mrs. Hudson - from the seemingly slightly naive older woman with a hip problem to a sportscar driving badass; that should be reson enough to include her in this list

7 - Cabin Pressure / Carolyn Knapp-Shappy - SHE’S BRILLIANT!!!

8 - Friends / Monica Geller - she’s always been my favourite female character on Friends; again, I can’t even tell you exactly why but probably she was the one I could relate to on some level

9 - M*A*S*H / Major Margaret J “Hot Lips” Houlihan - nowhere near perfect but true to herself, protective of the nurses under her command and sometimes even a bit devious

10 - Indiana Jones / Marion Ravenwood - hurt but strong, doesn’t give up, and knows how to hold a grudge

The Dead Like Me fandom seems to be out of commission but if anyone’s out there, I made a little Geroge/Mason vid

I knew who I betrayed.

My short life was like our family outings to the circus.

It wasn’t so bad. A bit with a clown, some cotton candy And just as things got interesting, I covered my eyes.

I know what that Wallenda smile at the end was about, why they were so happy with their midair flips and near misses.

They were happy because they were brave enough to be themselves.

Dead Like Me was a TV series that aired on Showtime and centered on Georgia “George” Lass who is killed by a toilet seat that falls from the MIR space station on her first day at a temp agency.

Upon death, she is recruited for a team of grim reapers - undead who mix among the living and take people’s souls just before they die. Along with fellow team members Mason, Roxy, Betty, and leader Rube, George discovers life after life.
