∟(11x12) Supernatural 2x21 All Hell Breaks Loose part. 1

“Oh, hey look, it’s not even that bad… It’s not even that bad, alright? Sammy, Sam! Hey, listen to me, we are going to patch you up okay… You’ll be as good as new. Huh? I’m going to take care of you, I’m going to take care of you! I gotcha. It’s my job, right, watch after my pain-in-the-ass little brother… Sam… Sam… Sam! Sammy!”

THEMED PARTY | Challenge 7: Phone Calls.

Marshal: Agent Mars.
Kate: It’s me.
[Mars grasps phone receiver mouthpiece and whistles to get someone’s attention to start a trace on the phone call.]
Marshal: Well, I’m glad. I realized this morning that it was the Feast of the Assumption and I was feeling bad. How many holy days have come and gone since you last called? I thought you and I were friends?
Kate: I don’t want to run anymore.
Marshal: What’s his name? [Kate is silent] Does he know who you are?
Kate: Edward, please. I know you don’t want to spend the rest of your life chasing me. Please, I love this guy. Just let me go.
Marshal: I’ll tell you what. [He and the agent doing the trace make eye contact] If you can really stay put? Really settle down? Then I’ll stop chasing you. [Kate is silent] But you and I both know that’s not gonna happen.
[Kate’s timer goes off, and she quickly hangs up. She leans back against the wall of the booth.]

Fredric Lehne (sometimes credited as Fredric Lane) has the unforgettably chilling face of Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon who spurred the Winchesters into a lifetime of battling evil on Supernatural, but he was also Marshal Edward Mars, the guy who spurred Kate into years of running away on LOST.

Azazel ‘the yellow eyeddemon’||Demon||Unknown||Open||FC: Fredric Lane

“We went straight into darkness. Out over the line. Yeah straight into darkness. Straight into night.“

Azazel was a yellow-eyed demon and a confidant of Lucifer. On at least one occasion, Azazel has called Lucifer his “daddy”, a reference to Lucifer’s role in creating demons. He was the murderer of Mary Winchester. He killed Mary Winchester one night when she caught him feeding Demon Blood to Sam. This begins John Winchester’s career as a hunter and dramatically changed the lives of Sam and Dean. John spent the rest of his life hunting Azazel, an obsession that Sam and Dean would inherit. He is a demon with a sense of humor, he takes pleasure in seeing people suffer. The more pain, mostly psychological pain, he causes, the happier he is. He also is very talkative, talking continuously, even before finishing a fight. Even for demons Azazel was cruel, as another demon described him as a tyrant. He was also highly manipulative, and cunning, able to twist others into doing what he wanted, he is so sure of his abilities he is even willing to put himself in harms way, just to help with it. He however did keep to his deals and never tried to cheat a person, giving what he offered, and sticking to his terms.

Yes, Azazel is back. What’s on this demon’s mind? Well, a little revenge and a heart to heart talk with the eldest Winchester. He did, after all, put a bullet in Azazel’s face. And a little meeting with the youngest Winchester, just a little booster upper for his ‘powers’. An ounce of demon blood a day, keeps the doctor away, after all.
