People want to stay forever young, but I want to grow old. I want to be old and wise. I want to tell kids tales of the times when my bones were a little stronger and my heart a little braver and my hands a little steadier. I want to give them advice that no one ever told me. I want to tell them about my adventures and misfortunes that lead to uncontrollable laughter, and encourage them to have their own. I want to encourage them to live their life to the fullest and make embarrassing mistakes because when they’re as old as me, those mistakes are nothing but fond memories that bring laughter to the dinner table.
