Really nice sedimentary layering on this sea cliff/beach in Taiwan. Note how the type of layers exposed changes from finer bedded to more massive, probably sandy, as the fisherman walks along it. Also note the large bed that is forming an eroded hole.

This image has reflections in a lot of contexts for me - the obvious one is the reflection in the water but I believe the fisherman in this posture is reflecting on his own life and the fact that the reflection in the water is a little blurred actually represents his distant memories as well.” Photograph by Brett Rylance
