Shift S3ctor runway Attack 7 was held recently at the airfield of Coalinga in California, what cars the opportunity to undergo a timed ½ mile track pointing to a range of different titles.

The Nissan GT-R is a 2-door sports coupe produced by Nissan and first released in Japan in 2007. It is the successor to the Nissan Skyline GT-R, although no longer part of the Skyline range.

Extreme Turbo Systems were present with a very custom Nissan GT-R took the runway and crashed timing markers at speeds over 220 mph.

Between 1969 and 1974, and again between 1989 and 2002, Nissan produced a high performance version of its Skyline sedan called the Nissan Skyline GT-R.

Unfortunately for the GT-R was what happened next. Breaking of the type of gears is never easy, and in this case the traction drive sending lost in a turn and out through the surrounding earth. Fortunately all is well, no one was hurt, reading the recorded speed and the car can be repaired to run another day too.

However, seeing a car turn off 220 mph still moderately scary!
