I’ve learned from the hurt along the way

Another short Emison fic. Im in withdrawal from not having an episode this week.

Alison wasn’t particularly the biggest fan of surprises; especially since half of her life she was constantly surprised by anonymous text messages, death treats, fake kidnappings, and much much more. However, she trusted her mermaid and knew Emily would never do anything to hurt her. Although this blind-fold wasn’t her favorite part of this ordeal, Alison played along and let the beautiful brunette lead her.

Alison was walking up Emily’s staircase now. Emily was helping her up each step carefully to make sure Alison didn’t fall. Alison counted to be exact, but she knew the Field’s staircase leading to the bedrooms had precisely 12 steps. Don’t ask how she knew, but she knew. (Okay maybe she counted how many stairs she had to sneak up when she had snuck in the Field’s house a number of times before they finally went public with their relationship.)  The couple stopped after walking a few feet at the top of the staircase. Alison wondered why Emily had blindfolded her if they were just going up to Em’s room. She felt Emily’s warm hand slowly take the blind-fold off her face. Emily was always amazed at how Alison’s blonde curls never seemed to go out of place, no matter what happened to them.

Alison opened her eyes to see Emily’s room. She was confused. The room looked exactly how it did yesterday and the day before, and she knew because Alison was not one to miss an important detail, or any detail involving her mermaid. Emily nudged Alison into the room. “Go ahead.” Emily’s puppy dog eyes never failed. Alison complied and walked in. She looked around the room to make sure she wasn’t missing anything. Suddenly she realized there was a white envelope on the bed. She nodded at the envelope and Emily smiled encouraging the blonde to go over and see what was inside.

Alison slowly opened the envelope. She had no idea what was going to be inside. Emily watched from a short distance, her stomach filled with butterflies. She was so excited to watch Ali’s reaction to her gift. It had taken her quite a while to save up for this, but she knew it was worth every penny. Alison’s gasp shook Emily from her thoughts. “Em….I can’t believe….How did you do this?”

“Do you like it?” Emily asked beaming with joy.

“I….I love it.” Alison was completely speechless. Leave it to her mermaid to surprise her like this. She didn’t deserve the outstanding specimen that was Emily Fields. “I remember a beautiful blonde once telling me that I would look so good on top of the Eiffel Tower.” Alison chuckled remembering their conversation from years prior. “I still think that.” They both laughed.
“Well I guess now you’ll get to find out, for real.” Emily kissed Alison. Alison couldn’t help but stare at her mermaid. She didn’t think it was possible to love someone as much as she loved Emily. “How did you get the money for this?” Alison knew money was tight for Emily, but with her new coaching job and her bartending a few nights a week Emily was able to start saving. “I took a few extra shifts at the bar and I sold a couple of things.” Emily looked proud that she was able to do something this nice for her girlfriend.

“I can’t thank you enough. I don’t deserve you Emily Fields” Alison almost sounded sad. Emily looked at her blonde soulmate. “I love you more than anything in the entire world. You and me, Sweet Paris. Just like we always dreamed.” A small tear rolled down Ali’s face. “Just liked we always dreamed.” She embraced her mermaid once more and never wanted to let go. They were finally going to get what they deserved. A beautiful, romantic, happy ending.

Credit to @rosewoodspoiler for bringing this to everyone’s attention. After watching her youtube theory last week I decided to re-watch a few episodes. The images above are not mine buy they relay the same point I’m trying to make. For those of you haven’t watched this particular video theory, she believes that the Alison we know since season 5 is actually Bethany Young and the Sara Harvey we know is the REAL Alison Dilaurentis. Now….after watching her theory I wholeheartedly believe that she’s correct. This just proves it even more. In the finale where Cece is admitting to being A, we see a flashback of Bethany and Charles on the rooftop of Radley and bethany says the following to charles: “Leaving is easy, Charles. It’s staying gone that’s tough.” THEN….fast forward to this: Ali goes to her own headstone and unbeknownst to her, is followed by Mona. Ali apologizes to Mona and tells her that “going to Hell was easy, coming back is what’s hard.” UUMMMM…..thats the same shit Bethany Young told Charles all those years ago…..So, the thought that our “Ali” is actually Bethany Young makes even more sense now than ever! I NEED Ali=Bethany Young and Sara harvey= the REAL Alison Dilaurentis. Andddd….if you haven’t already watched the youtube theory video you need to. LIKE RIGHT NOW!!!

WOC CHARACTERS APPRECIATION  (insp)

“ Women shouldn’t be valued because we are strong, or kick-ass, but because we are people.  So don’t focus on writing characters who are strong.  Write characters who are people.’’ (original post)
