As the sledgehammer blasts through the dry wall, we come to stumble across the secret that both the construction our sacred abodes and our fashions are more alike than we initially belived. It is these similarities that Edeline Lee has drawn upon for her SS15 collection.
Inspired by the renovation of her Victorian built home in east London, Lee explores the familiarity between clothing and construction, drawing likeness from everything from the basic foundation to the glossy polished finish of both respective subjects.
Explorative of both interior and external design, the collection incorporates an expansive colour pallet from vibrant yellow hues to musky greys as well as using a range of ‘construction fabrics’, such as dense silk gazar and lightweight gabardine.
The collection is defined, refined and playfully powerful, and the presentation in conjunction with ‘Little Green’ was nothing short of visually engrossing!
