Driving down Keystone when my mom goes “Look at this giant snow man coming up” and I say “Oh, it kind of looks like the snowmen… OH CRAP IT IS THE SNOWMEN! AHHHH!!!” I screamed. It scared the crap out of us. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS ON A BUSY RODE AND SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF THE WHOVIANS!?!?!
The 7th season storyline seems to be far more about who the Doctor is right now, what he is capable of for better or for worse right now, instead of the past catching up with him and who he used to be, what he looked like or what decisions were consequential in the past. Which is why so much of what occurs during the story revolves around how the Doctor is erased from history and memory, which makes me understand why Amy and Rory have been crucial characters in being the only ones who do remember exactly who he is from quite literally the very beginning. And why their departure is so tragic. And we all know River Song is done for from the start.
Now step in Clara Oswin, the only character other than Vastra, Strax, and Jenny, who are the only characters left from his past, that either already does know the Doctor somehow, or is about to reveal and discover who he really is now and after the Ponds.
I am really looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds.
We watched “The Snowmen” last night. Really, really enjoyed it (was there ever any doubt?). I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite Christmas Special, but I still enjoyed it. I was a little confused at the end, but I’m not all caught up yet. And after watching the trailer for upcoming episodes, it looks like it’s okay to be confused since that’s part of the mystery.
So, now we wait until April? Well… gives me plenty of time to catch up! Geronimo!
