So where ever you’re bringing in the new year be safe and drink responsibly also tag us on any food an music pictures. #ViseNyc.

Now back to business, peace to @djgetlive for introducing us to the track above by Jessie Ware called “Running.”  Jessie sort of reminds me of Sade. I know what you guys might be thinking ViseNyc is crazy but listening to the song and her vibe sort of Sade esq. Just our opinion. Enjoy!

Midnight Rockers Express Send it on/Downtown Soul Vol 1

Midnight Rockers Express puts out great mixes which are usually done by my good friend Dj Getlive (check him out Djgetlive.com) Once again they have out done themselves with a great soulful R&B mix.

R&B lately hasn’t been the same in a while I guess everyone wants to be a rapper, go figure. So this mix gives you that great feeling of what R&B used to be. Check out this mix it definitely sets the tone for a romantic evening with your loved one  while having a great dinner with a bottle of wine.

An evening in Manila

My poor attempt at the Victoria Beckam pose.  I think I need to lean to my right quite a bit more.

playing seamstress yet again (see armholes)

Peplum Top: H&M / Skirt: Tibi / Suede Pumps: gift from an ex / Watch: Michael Kors / Bracelets: Club Monaco / Necklace: F21 / Earrings: gift from the BFF for being her MoH

What a night last night…so unexpected and so unbelievably FUN!!  The gang decided last minute to attend “An Evening in Manila” at the beautiful former Fletcher Sinclair Mansion overlooking Central Park.  It was a formal (seemed more semi-formal to me) affair held to benefit Advancement for Rural Kids (ARK), a non-profit organization whose programs fight hunger and support education of school-age children in rural areas of the developing world.  So, we dressed up, ate, danced, and drank for the kids.  I have to say, out of all the parties and clubs I’ve been to in NYC, this one had THE BEST DJ evvvvvver.  The Filipinos REALLY know how to party.  It was all 90s hip hop mixed with some top 40 and a bit of MJ.  When TLC’s Creep came on we all went crazzzzy!!!  Ahh so fun.  We danced for 3 hours straight without any breaks.  Yep, the music was THAT good.  It was SO good that I just had to search for him when I got home.  DJ GETLIVE, you will be spinning at my wedding.

Oh, I forgot to mention my top.  Since my armpit fat was popping out more than usual, I made a cut on both sides of the peplum top to make the arm holes bigger and deeper and stitched it up myself.  It’s a bit uneven given that I suck at sewing but it was either cut the top and sew it myself or lose 8 lbs in 10 minutes in order to fit into that top comfortably.  I chose to sew.  The skirt has hidden pockets that you can access with a zipper which is pretty freakin awesome. I love TIBI!!!  I also bought the skirt in black.

Alright, I’ll stop with the rambling.  Have a great week all!
