With their 100-98 win over the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, the Cleveland Cavaliers advance to the next round, sweeping the series 4-0. The Cavs will face the winner of the Celtics/Hawks series which is now tied 2-2.
With the 27th overall pick in the 1986 NBA Draft the Detroit Pistons selected Dennis Rodman from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Rodman impressed Pistons executives with his performance in the pre-draft workouts where he was named Most Valuable Player. Rodman was a perfect fit for Chuck Daly’s “Bad Boy” Pistons as they went on to win two titles in Rodman’s time there.
