try “i love you” by woodkid

i’m gonna do it but i’m gonna regret it cause the only song of theirs i know is Iron

and like Iron is my soul being torn out to the tune of reaper76 and/or Repeated cause like

Deep in the ocean, dead and cast away
Where innocence is burned in flames
A million mile from home, I’m walking ahead
I’m frozen to the bones, I am…

A soldier on my own, I don’t know the way
I’m riding up the heights of shame
I’m waiting for the call, the hand on the chest
I’m ready for the fight and fate

The sound of iron shocks is stuck in my head,
The thunder of the drums dictates
The rhythm of the falls the number of deaths
The rising of the heights ahead

From the dawn of time to the end of days
I will have to run away
I want to feel the pain and the bitter taste
Of the blood on my lips again

The steady burst of snow is burning my hands,
I’m frozen to the bones, I am
A million mile from home, I’m walking away
I can’t remind your eyes, your face

The Tallest Man on Earth “Sagres”

There’s always resistance when one of your favorite artists evolves, but I’ve always appreciated when a musician is willing to step out of their comfort zone and change, because it can result in something amazing. That’s certainly the case with this first single for The Tallest Man On Earth who’s all but abandoned the raw, emotional, finger-picked acoustics of his early albums for a broader musical palette and majestic sound that’s utterly beautiful.

With gorgeous pastoral folk qualities reminiscent of Fleet Foxes / Bon Iver, as well as the lush, layered arrangements of The War on Drugs, “Sagres” is a captivating return for the Swedish singer/songwriter and one that opens up a world of exciting possibilities.
