Representación escultórica de un águila real con una cavidad circular en la parte superior, característica que la identifica como un recipiente para ofrendas o cuauhxicalli. Fue localizada en los años 80, asociada con un basamento prehispánico aledaño al Templo Mayor.
I spent time at Casa Azul today. It was really a different kind of museum experience as this was Frida Kahlo’s home. You have to pay extra to take photos abd I didn’t bring a real camera so no visuals but you’ll just have to trust that it was amazing.
So there were installations of her art but you also saw how the house looked while she lived there and her personal effects. Not to mention her death mask and her remains in an urn.
There was also a special exhibit of her clothing, including her corsets, jewelry and even her prosthetic leg.
