The best way to work with crystals magickally, is to simply carry them in your pocket or touch them. You can also wear them as jewelry as a single crystal or combined with other complimentary crystals on places such as: over your heart or at your wrists, etc, to disburse the energies throughout the body.
Many people often handle the crystals before they are bought by you, so aligning and cleansing them is recommended for purest energy.
Crystal Alignment Meditation
Stand before your crystals and close your eyes and focus on the moment
Take three slow breaths: inhale to the count of four, hold for count of four, and exhale for count of four, and then hold for another four counts
State firmly in your mind “My spirit vibrates in harmony with (insert crystal type here)” (Robbins & Bedell, 2017).
Continue to mentally recite the chant until you feel an energetic shift in yourself
Open your eyes and start to feel the crystals before you
Hold them, touch them
The crystal that is right for you will feel like its humming in your hand–the sensation of your energy and the crystal energy aligning
Boosting Crystal Power with a Simple Cleansing Ritual
Bowl of soapy water
Sea salt (in small bowl)
Bowl of cold water
Take all the crystals and put them in the bowl of soapy water. Use your hands to rub them clean
Chant as you wash clean: “Water, cleanse and clean. Remove the negative unseen” (Robbins & Bedell, 2017).
When the crystals feel lighter, individually place them in the bowl of salt. The salt will ground them in your energy and their energy, and remove any remaining energy
Next, dip them in the bowl of cold water to rinse off the salt, but keep the energetic process. As you remove them from the cold water, say “By the water, no more negativity. By the water, blessed be” (Robbins & Bedell, 2017)
Your crystals are now blessed and cleansed and ready for use

Place the crystals in the bottom of the glass or jar
Set outside in the sun, or by a sunny window
Let sit for 2-8 hours
Once done, strain the water into a clean glass and store
Dosage is 2-3 drops in a glass of water or juice 3-4 times daily
Note: Some crystals have metallic components and may contain iron or other substances that you should not drink or touch. These minerals include malachite, azurite, fluorite, jet, sulfur, serpentine, tigereye, tiger iron, and turquoise. To still obtain the crystal water energies from these crystals, you should use the No-Touch Method.

The Athame: a knife with a black handle, which is used to cast a circle. Represents masculine energy and the element of fire. Should not be used for cutting or to cause physical harm to others!!
The Chalice: these can come in goblet styles, or simply any mug or cup. This is used to hold water or wine, which is to be drank after a ritual. The chalice represents water.
The Wand: your wand can be made out of anything you feel connected to: bone, wood, metal, etc. A witch’s wand is very personal, which means you can fashion your wand to your own personal style. The wand is used to direct energies during a ritual, and represents the element of air
The Pentacle: This is a very powerful and protective symbol in Wicca. On an altar, your pentacle can come in the form of a pendant or a platen. You can also use a pentacle necklace on your altar. This represents earth, and used to cleanse yourself, your surroundings, and all items on your altar.
Candles: Different colored candles can represent differentuses for the candles. The candles clearly represents the element of fire. A pair of candles represents a Goddess and a God
The Cauldron: Like the chalice, the cauldron represents water. The cauldron is used to hold things such as water, incense, herbs, and candles. This is very useful when it comes to rituals and burning small fires. Cast iron is the best material for your cauldron but isn’t mandatory.
Bells:Bells are often used to mark passages in a ritual. Many spells ask for you to ring the bell once or twice and the bells can mark the beginning and then end of a ritual.
Incense: Incense is used to clear energy, cleanse, and call in energies. Most incense will work with whatever you’re doing.
The Bowls: The bowls on your altar represents earth. It is important to have a bowl of sea salt because the sea salt can cleanse your other magick tools on your altar. Smudging bowls are very important in magick.
Crystals: There are many different crystals that hold different energies. Keeping a variety of crystals on your altar can help with various different rituals. These crystals cane enhance the power of your spells.
The Broom: The broom is very symbolic of sweeping energy and keeping negativity away
Before using these tools, you should clear and cleanse it. The more you grow in your witchcraft, the more tools you can add to help yourself thrive in your magick 🌳✨
These are just things I’ve found that helped me when I began witchcraft. Most of these things are not a necessity, but can help. Please do not give me hate for this. This is a Wiccan blog, hence the name.
Can we get some appreciation for Coran and how much he does?
Okay, so I was looking for Coran’s eye color (because I couldn’t remember it) and then I started to look at the list of occupations:
Look at this! LOOK AT THIS! This man has a full plate on his hands. He’s so important and pretty much the key to getting the paladins as far as they have in being true paladins.
He’s been Royal Adviser for a while so there’s no doubt he’s got experience with knowing how to get a kingdom/empire to stay functional and diplomatically handle situations. He’s experienced in advising people on what they should do in tight situations.
Mechanical Engineer. He’s the one that keeps the ship up and running (later with the help of Hunk and Pidge I don’t doubt and I have no doubt he teaches them how things work when they have questions or seem to struggle with something).
Helmsman of the Castle of Lions. He can fly not just the Castle, but probably anything he gets thrown into and if he doesn’t know he’ll probably learn quick, fast, and in a hurry.
Part-time chief for the Team Voltron. Okay so his cooking skills are probably a 50/50 on it being actually tasty to humans (and sometimes even Alteans), but I’m pretty sure he’s been to war and had to make do with what he had to feed not just himself, but probably a platoon.
Chief Medical Officer. This means when the paladins get hurt, he’s taking care of it with or without the help of another. After everything was said and done, he was probably the main one to take care of Lance’s wounds after being seriously injured when the Rover imposter blew up.
Chief Trainer. He was probably part of the military force of Altea so he’s probably experienced in training others to fight in the first place. This is how he probably knows how to train the paladins. Also because of this experience (and probably experience interacting with the former paladins) he has initial doubt because these are just children and they seem to have no experience in fighting (save for Shiro and maybe Keith).
He knows nothing about their capabilities so of course he has doubts if they can make it as paladins, but as he learns more about them, he gets better at training them and finding methods to help them grow in their roles.
We’re gonna keep going with the fighting expertise. We see how he gets in a defensive stance when Pidge yells at Allura.
See how he turns his body? He’s ready to lunge to her defense at a moments notice if any of the paladins take a turn for the worse and attack her. And what happens when the food get’s thrown at her? He shows fighting experience and blocks the food so that not only she is protected, but himself so he can keep defending her should the need arise (despite it not being fatal to get food on his clothes
Even on the wikia it says “The eyes of a man who’s seen far, far too much pain in his lifetime.”
Look at his face:
Those are the eyes of someone that’s seen too much pain in his lifetime. As I’ve previously stated: there’s a high probability he’s been to war and that’s a lot of pain and suffering.
Teacher of the paladins. Trainer and teacher are two completely different things. While yes, trainers teach, they merely train a certain aspect. As a teacher he gives life lessons and gives them guidance. As a teacher he cares about his students as we see here:
When Lance is homesick he comforts him as best he can. He understands because he’s homesick, too (the only difference being he can never go back to his home because it was destroyed).
He teaches them lessons about things they had no prior knowledge of.
Hunk doesn’t know that the Balmera is a living thing or why they shouldn’t yank the crystals out of the earth, but Coran doesn’t yell at him over not knowing or get frustrated. He calmly explains, “It’s not a planet. Balmera are ancient animals. Petrified, but still alive. Their bodies naturally create the crystals that help power many Altean ships. I often accompanied my grandfather to visit these majestic creatures when he was building the Castle of Lions.”
Long story short, give this man some love because he’s so underappreciated.
A soothing sachet to tuck under your pillow or hang over your bed. Get a good night’s sleep and wake up refreshed!
Pick and choose some of the following herbs. I typically use a mixture of about 4, or whichever I happen to have on hand at the time. I try to avoid too many at once because that results in an overwhelming scent.
Anise - Known to repel nightmares.
Calendula – Brings about a good night’s sleep.
Cedar – Calms the mind and wards off bad dreams.
Chamomile – One of the most powerful sleep herbs on the list.
Jasmine – Gives good dreams, but can cause erotic dreams in women.
Lavender – The ultimate in stress relief herbs.
Lemon Balm – Stress relieving sleep aid.
Mugwort – Helps ward off bad dreams.
Mullein – Can be used to protect against bad dreams or psychic attack.
Rose petals – Brings about dreams of love. Can also cause erotic dreams if used too heavily.
Next, gather the following stones.
Clear Quartz — Who doesn’t love clear quartz? It’s like an energy booster for your other stones.
Amethyst — This gem helps guard against nightmares, but also helps soothe an overactive mind and wipes away the stress of the day (or week).
Rose Quartz — Bring in some of rose quartz’ love and peace. This brings deep, restorative sleep and over time can build self-love and overall happiness.
Lepidolite — Probably my most recommended stone. Lepidolite is like kryptonite to even the most super-est of stresses and depressions. It can stop obsessive thoughts, bring mood swings into line, and will upend dependency and mental anguish that might be keeping you up at night.
Take the stones (little chips are just as good as big chunks) and place them in a bowl. Add any essential oils (many of the floral herbs are more fragrant in their oil form) and use your hands to roll the stones around until coated. While doing so, focus your intent as soft pink or yellow (or whatever color is soothing to you) light radiating from your hands.
Next, add the remaining herbs. Continue to hand mix the ingredients while focusing your intent. Once thoroughly mixed, hold your hands over the bowl and really expand that “light” into a ball of positive, soothing energy.
If you’d like, say a quick invocation or spell. Something like:
When I lay me down to sleep
I ask of you my dreams to keep.
No more tossing, no more turning.
No more stress and questions burning.
Only rest and gentle sleep,
Until the morning’s dawn shall peep.
You can change the words to fit your needs, or skip it altogether. It doesn’t have to rhyme - that’s just a simple device some people use. Hell, it doesn’t even need to make sense, as long as it is you channelling your will into the mixture.
DO. NOT. RUSH. THIS. PART. Breathe. Let your will do its work.
Once you’ve imbued the mixture with your will, transfer it to a muslin bag or pouch. Hang near your bed or tuck under your pillow.
As a side-note, always feel free to experiment with this and any of my other recipes. This is what works for me. Maybe you find catnip or vervain soothing. Add it! Maybe tourmaline is your power crystal. Add it! And if you experiment with the recipe and find something that seems to work really well, let me know!
Hi Richtor! Can you please put links to sites or post to gems (quartz, crystals, stones),essential oils, and herbs's meanings? Please i need them but I want trustworthy info!😆 have a good day!
Remember to always fact check your sources - compare them to two or three others, and information that repeats can be assumed to be “correct.” Remember, also, that personal correspondences are very important. Go with what feels right to you.
There are tools that are essential to every religion. And they are usually ceremonial tools that aid in a practitioner’s spiritual journey. Buddhists have their bells, while Christians have their cross. While not a requirement to each one practicing a religion, having the tools strengthen your dedication.
Witchcraft has a wide range of tools, and most are usually those that are placed on an altar, and each almost always represents an element.
What you decide to procure will really depend on your beliefs and what you are comfortable with. It is also important to know that your tools should be treated with respect and reverence since each represents a divine element.
Here are just some of the tools a witch could have at his or her person or altar:
THE ATHAME An Athame is a dagger traditionally with a black handle that is used to cast a circle. It should never be used for cutting or to cause physical harm. The athame represents masculine energy and the element of fire.
THE CHALICE The chalice witches use can come in a goblet styles, or simply any mug and cup, and is used to hold water or wine, which is to be drank after a ritual. The chalice on your altar also represents the element of water.
THE WAND The wand that you use can come in any material that you feel a connection to: wood, bone, or metal. A witch’s wand is very personal, so much so that many Wiccans prefer to fashion themselves their own wand that suits their taste and represents their personality or character. Another option is to buy a Magic Wand. The wand is used to direct energies during a ritual, and represents the element of air.
THE PENTACLE The pentacle is a very powerful and protective symbol in Wicca. On an altar, it can come in the form of either a pendant or a platen. The pentacle represents earth, and is used to cleanse yourself, your surroundings, and all other items on your altar.
You can also use a Pentacle necklace on your altar.
THE CAULDRON Like the chalice, the cauldron represents the element of water. A cauldron can hold many things like water, herbs, incense, and candles, and is very useful when it comes to rituals involving burning and creating small fires. The preferred material for the pot-bellied cauldrons is cast iron. This is mainly due to the fact that cast iron cauldrons can take the heat and don’t crack under high temperatures.
THE BELLS Bells are used to mark passages in a ritual. Try taking a look at spells, you’ll notice most require you to ring a bell once or twice, and also ask you to ring your bell to mark the beginning and the end of a ritual.
THE CANDLES Candles represent the element of fire. A pair of candles also symbolizes the God and the Goddess.
THE BOWLS Having a bowl on your altar represents the element of earth. A bowl can hold water, sea salt, and oils. It is important to have a bowl that can hold sea salt, since a small bowl of sea salt on your altar can cleanse your other tools for magick, and also any possession you have that you feel is holding negative energy.
Smudging bowls are essential for magickal working.
Incense symbolizes the element of air. It is used to clear energy, cleanse, and call in energies.
THE CRYSTALS Each crystal holds a different energy. Crystals enhance the power of your spells, and keeping a variety of crystals on your altar will help you in various rituals.
THE BROOM A broom is very symbolic of sweeping energy and keeping negative and unwanted energies out of your space.
There are so many more tools in Witchcraft that you can use to enhance your spiritual journey and your magickal workings. What I mentioned are just the essentials, and you can add to them as you progress in your journey.
Before you begin using each tool, it is important that you clear and cleanse it. And make sure that you treat each with respect and care, as it represents a divine element. Some witches, including myself, don’t allow others to touch their tools and crystals and supplies to prevent any unwanted energy from absorbing into these things. You can make the choice yourself for your items obviously, but keep in mind that you should keep your tools and supplies full of light energies!
Always be sure not to finish your spell too quick. Let it sink in, sit there and feel it’s effect. Let it sink into the ground and travel through dirt and rocks and crystals charged with her power. Let the wind take it through the air; breathe your power into the wind. Allow it to flow through river and lake with the element of water. And finally, let fire root it into the heart of all it is meant to effect. Man, beast, plant, or anything else. Never finish too fast, don’t rush. Be patient. It will happen.
A cheap and fun way to incorporate stones and crystals in spells, especially if you’re new to the use of crystals, is to use crystal chip beads. They are sold in long strands and are usually very affordable (about 2€/2$ each). They can be used in many ways, and I love how versatile and easy they are to use. Don’t be fooled by their size: tiny crystals carry as much power as the big ones, but they are much cheaper and convenient.
🔮 You can use them in… 🔮
Jar spells: just put a couple of crystals in your jar along with the other ingredients to enhance the power of your spell.
Mojo bags: you can fill small fabric bags with all sorts of herbs, oils and other ingredients. Adding the right stone can help you obtain a more effective spell.
Tiny talismans: you can take one or more different crystal beads and use them to create charms to carry around with you. Cleanse the crystals with some sage or incense and focus your intention on what you want the crystals to do (bring protection, courage, attract love…)
Magic room sprays: put some crystals along with some water and essential oils in a spray bottle and use it to cleanse and protect your room or your house. If you want to light up romance with your loved one, spray water infused with rose quarts, rose and jasmine essential oils and some basil leaves around the room. For a very strong protection use holy water, obsidian and mint (I would suggest doing this if you think you’re under the effects of a psychic attack or malocchio).
💎 My favorite crystals 💎
Carnelian, which can be used to enhance courage and strength or to stimulate lust and sexual power. Use in combination with thyme, and with warrior deities such as St. George, St. Michael Archangel, Ogoun.
Rose Quartz, the stone of love and trust. It can be used to bring back romance in a relationship or to help build trust and friendship between two people. Use in combination with basil, and with love and beauty deities such as Erzulie Freda, Mater Dolorosa, Aphrodite.
Fluorite, the crystal of wisdom and intelligence. As a scientist and a student I love this stone, because it helps me focus my intellectual energies and it brings clarity to my mind. Use in combination with sage, and with deities associated with wisdom, such as Athena, Isis, Ganesha.
Clear quartz, the most versatile stone, can be used for all sorts of spells and rituals. I find that staring into a piece of clear quarts helps me focus my intention and brings clarity and spiritual power.
