His Majesty King Philippe and Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium will make a state visit to Denmark on 28 and 30th March 2017.

The forthcoming state visit aims to strengthen the already strong ties between Denmark and Belgium. The close connection between the two royal families that descended from the Glücksburg line dates back to the year 1863. Thus attended the Belgian royal couple in celebration of HM the Queen’s 75th birthday in 2015 and HM Queen Mathilde is also godmother to HRH Princess Isabella .

“Your eyebrows give you away.”

Said eyebrows tilted and wiggled in displeasure as Philipp fought the instinctual tilt of his head by raising his chin. He smiled placidly at him recovering his cool disaffection, which made Micha want to break something expensive.

“Crown prince Philipp,” he starts, bowing his head for a moment in deference to the title before raising his head high, “I would like to formally call off our engagement.”

Tiara #18: the Antique Pearl tiara
When: during the 75th birthday of King Harald of Norway, february 27th 2007.

During the celebrations of King Harald of Norway’s 75th birthday, Máxima wore the Antique Pearl tiara for the first time. In her early days as a royal fiancée and princess, she was spotted wearing only the base of the tiara, but now she arrived wearing the whole thing, which is one of my favourite royal pearl tiaras. She combined it with a green maternity dress, since she was expecting her third daughter, princess Ariane.

The Antique Pearl tiara was made around 1900 for Queen Wilhelmina. Four of the seven pearls on top are said to have belonged to Amalia von Solms, the wife of stadholder Frederik Hendrik, who lived from 1602 to 1675.
