Christer Nuutinen’s wide illustration project, the book called “Veden valtiaat: totta ja tarua” (“Rulers of the water: facts and fictions”) was published just recently. Christer made over 80 amazing illustrations for this book written by a writer and anthropologist Marjut Hjelt.

“Rulers of the water” is an absorbing plunge into the fabled world of mythical aquatic beings. The book gives readers a detailed introduction to an international panoply of gods, including ancient Greek, Hindu, Sumerian, ancient Egyptian, Aztec, Roman and Scandinavian sea gods.

Christer and Marjut will be talking about the book TOMORROW at the Finnish Literature Society SKS’s presentation day at 4.30 pm - 5.30 pm. If you’re around, please stop by to hear how the illustrations for the book was made!
