Not everyone is going to see your worth and potential. Even when you see their’s, and even when you pour time and energy into being the absolute best you can be, there will still be people who look past you or take you for granted. Whether you’ve dealt with this romantically, with friends, your job, or even in ministry, this hurts. However, God is faithful in providing us with Biblically rooted hope for this hurt:
In Samuel 16:1-13, even though God wanted David to be appointed as a king by Samuel, David was nowhere close to being Samuel’s first choice. Samuel was certain that one of David’s brothers was the one God wanted. However, God stepped in, and in a final turn of events, David, who was not even in consideration for being chosen as king, was brought in to his father Jesse’s house and was appointed as king over everyone else.
Had it not been for the Lord, David would have never gotten that position. Even though Samuel eventually saw David was the one who God wanted to be appointed as King, God was the One who anointed Him and made it possible.
Remember this when it comes to romantic relationships, friendships, work opportunities, ministry opportunities, and anything else you desire to have. God never forgets to give you what was meant for you. You may be overlooked by man, but you will never be overlooked by Him. So keep on doing what you do for Him, knowing that He is always faithful in honoring those who do, regardless of how long it takes for others to see your worth.

Okay so I see so many posts about Hamilton, Heathers, Great Comet, Dear Evan Hansen, or more recently, Be More Chill. So. Many. Posts.
But where is the love for older musicals? Where are all the posts about Chicago, or Rent, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Spring Awakening or even musicals as big as Wicked and Les Mis. Give them some love, or some art, or some headcanons too! Talk about Enjolras or Elphaba, draw the six merry murderesses in their Cell Block Tango, make a Take Me or Leave Me animatic. Tell me your dream casts for a Spring Awakening movie.
I know there’s more new content for these new musicals, and the fandoms are bigger, but we wouldn’t even have these new musicals at all. These are the shows I grew up on, and I hope there can be more and more new fans that go out and listen or experience them for the first time like I did. Embrace the old as well as the new.
ok but. i think that zircon was the first gem to REALLY stand up to a diamond. there were moments of fear in the beginning, but after shed began to be engrossed in what she was saying, there was only her and hard evidence- when yd slammed her fists down she wasnt even fazed! and she stands for true justice so badly that she wasnt afraid to voice what was first on her mind, and realized that she crossed the line just after the fact!(in her own words “shes gotten carried away”)
Brethren, when I was young I believed in a falsehood: ‘Let me commit sins now, and when I get old I’ll do good and I’ll be saved.’
Now I have grown old, but my sins have spring roots and I can’t do any good. So you be careful not to suffer the same fate, but now that you have the time, do good works to be saved.

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
