Cauliflower Crust Pizza!

- 1 head of cauliflower
- 1 egg
- ½ cup shredded cheese OR 1/3 cup goat cheese
- salt, oregano
- 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar (optional)

1. Rice the cauliflower using a blender/food processor or a cheese grater.
2. Boil about 1 inch of water in a pan and add in cauliflower and let it cook for 4 minutes.
3. Use a sieve to drain off excess water. Using a kitchen towel, wrap cauliflower tightly to wring out as much excess water as possible.
4. In medium bowl, add cauliflower, egg, cheese, and seasonings. (And red wine vinegar if using) Mix well.
5. Using parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, form the mix into your pizza crust. Try and keep the crust ½"-1" thick.
6. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until crust is slightly browned. Remove crust, add toppings, then bake for additional 10-15 minutes.

I really enjoyed this recipe; the crust isn’t sturdy enough to pick up a slice, but the flavors and texture are nice. Grab a fork and dig in!

Fabric: the bread of the cosplay world. You can laden it with your beads, lace, and trims like any great BLT, but your fabric is the foundation of your costume sandwich. And just like with bread, we all have our favorite kinds! Whether you like melonpan or minky, taftan or taffeta, pumpernickel or poplin, or maybe something more exotic like cauliflower pizza crust or “crêpe” de chine, cosplay introduces us all to a wide variety of fabric types. And after ten years, here’s a video counting down my personal favorites I’ve gotten to use while making costumes!

1 cup cooked, riced cauliflower
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese*
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp crushed garlic
½ tsp garlic salt
Olive oil (optional)

Pizza sauce
Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Other additional toppings of your choice

*Many people have commented and said that the amount of cheese can be reduced by half, and still taste just as good!

To rice your cauliflower, take 1 large head of cauliflower, remove the stems and leaves, and chop the florets into chunks. Add to a food processor and pulse just until it looks like rice. Alternatively, you can grate the cauliflower with a cheese grater.

Place the riced cauliflower in a microwave safe bowl, add ¼ cup water, and microwave for 6-8 minutes, stirring half-way through.

To make the pizza, preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Spray a pizza pan or cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, combine the cauliflower, mozzarella cheese and egg together and stir until well incorporated. Add the oregano, garlic, and garlic salt. Transfer to the cookie sheet, and shape into a 9-inch circle. Brush the crust with olive oil to help it brown in the oven.

Baked at 450 degrees F for 15 minutes, until the crust is browned and cooked through the middle.

Remove the crust from the oven, add your sauce and toppings. Place under a broiler at high heat until the cheese is melted and bubbly. (About 3-4 minutes).

Allow the pizza to cool slightly, then cut into slices and serve.

Put the cauliflower in a food processor and blend it until it is finely processed.
Add the rest of the ingredients, combine everything and taste it to check if the seasoning is good. Spread it evenly on a baking sheet, the thinner you spread it the crunchier it gets when it is baked. Bake it in the oven for 15 min in a 200c preheated oven.
