Captain America: Civil War

I’ve Always Been Here Part 2 [Peter Parker x Reader]

Warnings: Slut shaming, a few swears

Word Count: 1277

Part 1

A/N: Not gonna lie, I struggled with coming up with this. It was hard to find a way to reunite {Y/N] and Peter without it sounded forced, so I apologize if it isn’t my best writing. Thank you so much for all the support for Part 1.

You hadn’t gotten any sleep that night. Your mind was a whirlwind of negative thoughts that wouldn’t let you slip into sweet unconsciousness.

Of course he left.

Why wouldn’t he?

Why would he choose you?

You’re nothing.

When you entered Midtown the next day, you made your way through the crowded halls with no makeup and purple bags blossoming under your eyes. You thought your disheveled appearance wasn’t that obvious until people started staring and snickering at you. You turned your head towards the floor, feeling self-conscious. Just keep walking, you told yourself. You tried to, but a foot stuck itself out in your pathway, causing you to trip. You hit the ground with a loud thud. When you looked up, none other than Liz Allan was towering over you. That’s when you realized that people weren’t laughing at your appearance. No, they were laughing at how you had no idea you were about to get your ass kicked.

“What do you want, Allan?” You asked, forcing yourself off the ground. She didn’t respond, and as soon as you were on your feet, she pounced. In an act of pure impulsiveness, she raised her right hand and slapped you clean across the face. A collection of “ooh’s” and murmurs were heard throughout the crowd of students that had begun to surround you two.

“What the hell?!” You hollered, clutching your cheek.

“Listen here, slut, you keep your dirty claws off of my boyfriend,” she spat.

“What in the shit are you talking about?” You yelled.

“Don’t play stupid, I know you tried to get him to sleep with you last night,” Liz accused.

“Excuse me?” You asked, shock written all over your face.

“Just watch your back.”  She didn’t say anything else as she spun around, her hair whipping your face. She sashayed down the hall, pushing anyone in her path into the lockers.

“I never-” you began, but nobody heard you as the crowd that had surrounded you dispersed. One person stayed behind, however. Your eyes found his, and they locked for a brief second. He began to walk towards you.

“[Y/N]-” he started. You quickly turned around and tried to run away, but he was too fast for you. Peter grabbed your wrist and turned you around.

“Get away from me!” You hollered, struggling to get out of his grip.

“[Y/N], just listen-”

“No! You don’t deserve it! I was going to apologize today, even though I did nothing! But this, spewing lies about me, is too far. What? You want attention so bad, you’re willing to make me a walking target?!”

“I didn’t do it!”

“Oh you expect me to believe you after last night?”

“I don’t expect you to believe me. I just- godammit, [Y/N], it’s complicated,” Peter said, rubbing his eyes anxiously.

“No, Peter it’s not. You’re an asshole, it’s as simple as that.” Your voice was dripping with venom.

“She was going to tell everyone about me!”

“What the hell are you talking about, Parker?” You asked. At the slightest suggestion of an excuse, you felt your wall crumble a bit. You couldn’t let it fall, he didn’t deserve it. Peter remained silent, his eyes glued to the floor. With your wrist still in his hand, he loosened his grip and led you into an empty classroom. He let go of you and closed the door.

“[Y/N],” he started, anxiety displayed on his face as he looked up. “I-I’m Spider-man.” Nobody spoke. The only sound that filled the room was your uneven breathing.

“What?” You asked shakily, even though you had heard him quite clearly.

“I’m Spider-man,” he replied, taking a few cautious steps towards you. “Liz, her dad’s the Vulture, and she works for him. She found about me, and said she would tell her dad if- if I didn’t cut you out of my life.” He reached for your hand, but you took a few steps backwards, avoiding contact. You saw hurt flash in his eyes.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” You whispered.

“I didn’t want you to get involved,” Peter answered. “I didn’t want you to get hurt.”

“Yeah well look how that turned out. I got slapped in the face and there’s a ninety percent chance of getting tomatoes thrown at me after school today,” you spat. In all honesty, you didn’t know what to say. Yes, he had an excuse, but was that enough to forget all of the hurtful things he said to you? Could words that stung as much as those be taken back so easily?

“I can’t- you could be lying,” you stuttered, trying to rebuild your crumbling wall. In order to prove his truthfulness, Peter shot a web from his wrist. The web latched itself onto your left arm and pulled you towards him. You tripped over your own feet and instinctively, Peter wrapped his arms around your waist to catch you. You two locked eyes, unsure of what to do next.

“I’m so sorry,” Peter said. “I never wanted it to go this far. I-” his voice broke off. He unwrapped his hand from your waist, and buried his face in them. His shoulders shaking violently. Each soft sob that escaped his mouth left an indentation in your heart. This was the Peter you knew. The one who trusted you, who was willing to show vulnerability in front of you. Through his cries you could tell the mind games were over.

“Hey,” you whispered, pulling him into a hug. You rubbed your arms up and down his back trying to comfort him while he hid his face in the crook of your neck. “It’s okay. I…I forgive you.” You both tensed. He slowly pulled away and looked at you with red and puffy eyes.

“I don’t deserve your forgiveness,” he said. You didn’t answer, and turned your eyes towards the floor. The wiser part of you knew he deserved forgiveness, he was blackmailed. But your stubborn side didn’t want to give up that easily.

“You were blackmailed,” you responded.

“I still said those things,” Peter said.

“But did you mean them?” You locked eyes with him.

“Exactly.” You offered him a small smile, which he returned. Peter let out a small sigh.

“It was so much easier when we were kids,” he said. “I wish we could meet now, start over.”

“Why would you wanna start over? You would lose all of our great memories. And besides, we’re still kids aren’t we?” Peter’s smile grew even brighter.

“Remember that time when a kid stole my crayons and I started crying, so you punched him in the face?”

“Well I had to defend my best friend, didn’t I?”

“Friend?” Peter squeaked out.

“Yeah…” You dragged out, trying to avoid what you knew was about to be brought up.

“[Y/N], you know what we had was more than just a friendly bond.” Peter was staring you dead in the eye, but his eyes were soft and full of love.

“I know, I just- it’s been so long.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t apologize.” You saw his eyes briefly flash to your lips before he hesitantly leaned forward. You leaned forward after him and you two met in a loving embrace. Your hand went to his hair, running your finger through his soft, golden locks. His hand cupped your cheek, running his thumb across it softly. You both pulled away for air, but kept your eyes closed, taking in the moment.

“You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to do that,” he said.

“Ditto, Parker.” You both chuckled.

For the first time in a while, you both were happy.

Just a few posts I collected that are nice examples of how Tony Stark is not just some self-centered jerk.

I’ve said it before, but you can’t take everything the man does at face value. He’s a deep and very human character that you have to pay close attention to and try to understand.

Tom talks about his little injury during the Lip Sync Battle rehearsal.

p.s: Still waiting for Mr. Harrison Osterfield to post the rehearsal video.

It needs to be canon in superhero universes that schools and colleges have stopped caring about world ending disasters. Like yeah the avengers tore up Manhattan but you’ve known about this assignment for weeks so it still needs to be in on time. The internet is down cause joker decided to pull a massive heist? Oh to bad, that online discussion board post needs to be up. Like obviously if you’re in the hospital or there’s a family emergency cause of it you’ll get some slack but you’re gonna have to jump through so many hoops that it’s better to just abandon that loved one to make it in time for the biology final. You’re dorm or apartment burned down in the crossfire of loki and iron man? Guess who’s sleeping at their friend’s house or in the commuter lounge?

Tom Holland wonders why a T-Rex wasn’t pink or furry. - A compilation.

I’ve never related to anything more than this in my life.
